  1. :/ I hope something breaks loose for you so you can keep yer cars. This sucks.
  2. Corolla omg
  3. Say it ain't so... a stinkin' PRIUS? A snoozemobile CAMRY?

  5. Drew, to be honest, I think ppl will liken it to someone's initials, and neither of those sets of letters matches "Drewbert Elwood Dowdell". "TOROTORO" would be a cool take-off on the WWII movie, but I don't think 8 characters will fit. "TORORKT" (Toronado Rocket!) would fit I think.
  6. That's a good looking truck. Red is always a fairly safe bet, but I prefer "Game Warden Green", a colour you can still special order on the GMT900s.
  7. '66-'77 Bronco. Now there was a neat little SUV, and the only real competition for the Jeep CJ.

  9. Sorry, you were saying? My mower is going into its 5th season this year, Craftsman push model. I have done nothing to maintain it yet, shamefully. Only preventative thing I've done so far is put Sta-Bil in the gas. With a few squeezes on the primer bulb, it starts and runs well so far. I got a blade for it 2 years ago but have not installed it. The deck gets scraped out or sprayed with a hose after mowing if the grass is wet, and it gets wheeled into my shed between uses. The book goes into maintenance by hours run, which I don't bother to keep track of.
  10. Yeah, they already have the homely Orlando, don't they? I've not heard a peep about that one from our Canadian contingent.
  11. good one, Mr. dfelt! Drew, how many characters can we have in PA on a plate? 6 or 7? I had "OCNBLU" for my Maryland plate 10 years, until I moved to PA.
  12. Spiffy little wagon! Glad it's coming.

  14. From the article: "Colorado pickup, Trailblazer SUV, and Cruze station wagon"... they're just trying to hinder enthusiasm in the US for the brand, aren't they? The mere mention of those "strong entries" makes me sick that they are not given to us. Every one of the vehicles mentioned in the article needs to be sold in the USA... NOW. The Trax fits in the Chevy lineup much better than it does at Buick's... Buick needs an Alpha Riviera and a Verano coupe/2-door hatch sooner than they do the Encore. Besides that, the Trax, after seeing the patent drawings posted here a while back, is sufficiently differentiated from the Encore exteriorwise, and would be sold in separate showrooms. Don't make no sense.

    Bad Move

Meh, gas here is back to $3.59, and with a company car that I drive all week to and from work, it is not as critical as it was for me to be as miserly as possible with fuel. I choose to drive a small 4 cylinder company vehicle, of course.
  16. Gorgeous Summit White 2012 Canyon extended cab Z71 4X4 with the tan and black interior at the GM dealer in Easton, MD (where I worked for 10 years when it was under different ownership). MSRP $29k, they're asking $25k, plus I got my "private" GM discount coupon in the mail for $1500 off in addition to any other discounts. MUST. HAVE. WILLPOWER. *bites nails* Also, while helping my bro move yesterday, a bitchin' white 1-Series M coupe passed me, I thought about putting the hammer down to try to catch up, but thought it might not be a good idear to leave a trail of my brother's belongings scattered on the highway...

    Bad Move

I'm OK, no need for a doctor visit, the drive didn't last more than 4 hours. It's just a real comfort to drive a good ol' Chevy pickup.

    Bad Move

So my brother's moving, and I spent the day helping. Part of my duties was to drive his truck from the sold house to the storage facility. Bad move on my part. He's got an '04 Silverado 1500 extended cab Z71, 122k miles, with a 330-horse GM replacement engine and Flowmaster exhaust. It was like going home. I turn into a blithering idiot when I drive a pickup truck. Why can't I get it out of my system?
  20. The only way out of this mess is to put the diesel engine out of the Cruze in the Malibu for mileage freaks, and simply do away with the weak eek-Assist junk.
  21. I remember seeing those for the first time on the dealer lots. After the massive '73-'79 style, they looked positively wimpy, narrow, and generally incapable. Of course I thought the same thing when the '88 Chevy pickups came out.
  22. That's a gorgeous car but I have to ask it a question: Why you mad tho? >:] Looking at the floor carpet, did Buick use cut-pile carpet back then? I was thinking more like loop-pile. Maybe my eyeballs are trickin'.
  23. That is one SEXY mofo. I wish you full, sustained enjoyment throughout your ownership.
  24. '56 green and white 4-door Chevy wagon. Full length. My mom dragged me to a "new owner's clinic" at the Kia place, it was held in the dealership's Hyundai building next doh. They have a few nice Velosters, but my favorite was an eye-searing green one with a manual transmission. Once again, my conundrum, if only I could afford two vehicles... Also, the new Azera looks really good in person, with a strong stance, wide tires and an authoritative air. It does not suffer from Generica like the Genesis sedan and Equus. While I liken the Sonata to a Klingon with that furrowed forehead, I find the Azera to be the strongest expression of the current Hyundai look, and it was black with dark brown leather interior.
