  1. Cremazie Longtooth Mustang84 Westjetter737 I hope you members are having a blast today!
  2. SPEAKING OF THIS TOPIC... I was cleaning out my desk ahead of our closing next week, and I ran across two treasures. Mitchell Collision Estimating Guide Domestic Older Models, printed October, 1987 (covers 1973-1980 models) and Collision Estimating Guide Imported European, printed December, 1987 (covers some models back to 1965 depending on full model changes, up to 1987) if anyone needs COLLISION (body, suspension and cooling system) part numbers. Side note: I never knew there were two frames for a 1974 Olds Toronado... one with the optional supplemental restraint airbag system, one without.
  3. Well is it a hearse or an amboolance?
  4. Oh man, I hope he's alright. Yeah, I just checked his FB... gone.
  5. Congratulations, Drew!
  6. STOP IT ARE YOU SERIOUS
  7. I'd like to see Kia come out wit a compact, ladder frame pickup truck. Wit a diesel.
  8. The black insert on the side moldings on these cars never would stay glued to the stainless part due to temperature variations. I can clearly see these have been re-glued, you can see the shrinkage at the ends. That's the only problem I ever saw with any regularity with these cars/tanks. This one is gorgeous, and nixes the worry of keeping the vinyl woodgrain and subsequent edge moldings fresh.
  9. Hmmm... ashtray rails. We used to get ashtrays as an assembly. thedriver, what would be the GM parts group number for that pulley? Would it be in the 1000s? Is it possible the dealer could punch in 1984 Olds E and the group number? Or does everything go off the VIN now?
  10. The ones I've seen look very nice inside and out. I think my favourite colour be Cyber Gray wit black inturior. The low-pressure 2.0t with a six speed manuel would liven up this little cruiser quite nicely, I think.
  11. Now see, you know what, that would be the perfect cruiser for me. 283 hints at a distinct lack of drama, just serenity, and those rims make it just far enough this side of grannymobile to be right on point.
  12. I see where the Rolls-Royce Phantom Electric has been cancelled due to lack of interest.
  13. What is that streak across the black part, a wiper blade?
  14. There were periodical parts books before microfiche and computers. I'm sure somebody, somewhere, still has some old books, or maybe there's a website somewhere with captures or something. Do you have a list of parts you need to find? Is this for your Toronado? Back in the early-mid 90's, if we had an old book, we could punch a part number into the computer and it would come back still good, it's just that the older numbers were purged out of the system, but they could be re-loaded. I remember selling speedometer gears for some older cars and even suspension parts for 1960's Chevy pickups. What about GM Restoration Parts catalogs?
  15. A blast to the undercarriage, perhaps? Very cool, Perdue!
  16. Perhaps he's taking a cue from GM's public relations department?
  17. "Behind The Green Door".
  18. Red's not my color, but I've always liked the '71-'76 B-bodies.
  19. Oh? I think there's a tumblr site dedicated to you.
  20. How about a nice "sedan pickup", Camino? Would that interest you atall? Code 130R, please, a little brother fer Camaro, if it's a coupe you want. And I'll have none of that eek-Assist crap. 1.4t, 2.5 or 2.0t would do quite nicely, thank ya.
  21. Hershey
  22. Very large person wearing a cord sweater stuffed in a small bathtub.
  23. Like something out of Mad Max. A zombie. How to kill a zombie?
  24. A car to transport you back in time. Nice.
