  1. First-gen Ranger Super Cab, red and silver two-tone... with little fiberglass dually fenders over the rear wheels, and wider-than-normal rear tires. CUTE.
  2. SERIOUS POWER.
  3. I'd ride that whip. But I want to hear that 425 through Flowmaster mufflers.
  4. I don't think the new ES is competition for the XTS or the LaCrosse. It seems to have gone over to AcuraTL/Buick Regal territory.
  5. The current Ram has always been nice. The Viper has always been off my radar, I am more a Corvette guy. The Chevy Impala hasn't been this stylish and cool since 1996. It is much more of a leap forward than either of the DODGES (forget this Ram and SRT crap). Give me a break.
  6. Not a problem. This is an Impala, not a Wrangler.
  7. digits
  8. When I get behind the wheel of a big ol' truck I swear my gentleman parts grow as many sizes as The Grinch's heart on Xmas morn.
  9. Nicer interior, for sure. Not much noticeably new on the exterior except for the Euro headlights, it's still like a giant dick waving in yer face, which is fine for a Viper, just sayin'. Excellent motor, sounds like. I'm surprised at myself. I am more impressed with the new sedans shown at NY than I am with the Ram and Viper.
  10. Nice little truck, but those tag words in the ad make me mad.
  11. The Schpark is a well-done little scooter, although we haven't seen photos of the base model, only the top line trim. The XTS seems priced well for what it is. No objections.
  12. IMPALA, star of the show, but the Lexus ES is the sleeper of the bunch from my chair at least. It surprises me, it's as big a transformation as the Impala, imo. MKz leaves me cold, puts me off. And The Altima is too evolutionary for me to care. The Acura is just too beige for me to care one wit about it. Very forgettable. The Avalon is mildly interesting. It is an abrupt change from what's come before for the nameplate. I do not believe current customers will like it, and I'm not sure the people who will like it will drive an Avalon, ya know? The new Avalon might be good news for GM... it might steer customers to a LaCrosse 3.6L.
  13. Lexus photo looks German in ancestry. Buick looks American, but then again I am unfamiliar with the Chinese aesthetic, so it could very well be Chinese-American. After all, we are a nation of immigrants... The Lexus screen looks like an afterthought, stuck up there in its own cubby, but M-B and BMW both do the same thing, so it might be accepted by customers, although imo a pop-up screen without the cubby would clean that dash up nicely. The Lexus buttons are segregated, which is a good thing for ease of use, the Buick's buttons are all in a mass array, seems like it'd be harder to master, based on photos only. They're both nice in the photos, but if the Lexus had an unobtrusive pop-up nav screen (which would not ever be popped up by me), I'd have to go with the Lexus, based on the supplied photographic evidence. A big "if". EDIT: I was not prepared to say this, but I like the looks of this car, after checking the gallery. It was transformed from a granny car to something a young male executive might drive. It is sporty and clean, looks low and long in the photos. Best use of the new corporate facial expression, too, not overwrought like in some other models. Like a modern missile, kind of phallic, and what guy doesn't appreciate that? As far as the dash-to-door trim situation, it doesn't flow together, but it's still fine. Having those two areas meet perfectly is a difficult task... if it is off, the customer is disappointed and annoyed because they have to look at it all the time. This way, the dash is the dash and the door is the door, I see no problemo there. And while I might equate switch blanks with foreign car cheapness, I have to remember the Japanese manufacturers have been doing this for decades, and their customers apparently do not care, or they would have stopped doing it long ago.
  14. Dark green 1980 Monte Carlo in good shape, driven by a young guy.
  15. Nice Bird.
  16. It will be manufactured in cyberspace by midget gamers covered head to toe in tattoos wearing spike heels, fishnet stockings, and sporting bright blue mohawks.
  17. 4 brand new VWs and all of them had troubles. You guys know I don't keep a car long, so it's not like any of them had high mileage to shield them from criticism. I do love the way a VW feels to drive, though. If they could build a relatively trouble-free car and train their dealers to service it properly and take care of the customer, I'd have no problem owning one again.
  18. Seems as though EVERYBODY'S jumping on the long-roof, 6-window, short deck sedan bandwagon. GM - XTS and Impala Toyoduh - Avalon Ford - Fusion and MKZ Audi - A7... the inspiration for all this, so soon after its intro? It seems way too coincidental... but everybody's out at once... corporate spying seems to be alive and well in design houses across the globe. My runaway favourites are Impala and A7. I'm especially proud of Chevrolet's hot new Impala.
  19. Impala destroys this. The only thing I like about it is the low beltline.
