  1. So even the head units are different.
  2. So the crosshairs are giving way to a giant triangle? That's different.
  3. Can someone post a photo of the tweeters?
  4. I see where CBS has stopped production of Two And A Half Men after Sheen's latest run off at the mouth. He's dumb. He's really dumb.
  5. Nice, honest review, Mike, of a very low-key, worry-free automobile.

    Let's say

Oldsmoboi fails to indicate the Volt's range can also be much LESS than 350 miles. And when you get somewhere, are you going to find a 120 outlet in the parking lot @ Motel 6?
  7. OK done.
  8. That's weak. And according to the clunky website, there is a substantial difference between the base sound system and the uplevel system. Number of speakers is one.
  9. My florist would slap you if you told her she has a large can.
  10. So the brown interior shot facing the dash head-on is a rendering? Why in the world is it not a perfect representation then? Those gray toomuhs do nothing to elevate the Fister beyond boutique car status. It is a sign of cobbling together. And maybe the car with brown interior has the base sound system and the black interior depicts the optional system. The splattered gray matter in the brown shot looks different than the same area in the black shot.

Every time Porsche aggravates the purists, they prove them wrong. Check the sales figures for the Panamera relative to the rest of the lineup. I can take a fossil-fueled vehicle to Death Valley (famous locale to make a point, there are millions of other places you could not venture) if I so choose. If I can afford only one vehicle, why on Earth choose the one with built-in mobility hobbles and compromises? Goes against the very definition of the word AUTO MOBILE.
  12. Never thought of that. You might be right... curvy sport sedan with trim dimensions, a la 2nd gen Aurora.

    Let's say

So you will become a bitch for the power companies and the mining companies, who are anything but environmentally friendly. How is the electricity being generated? How are the minerals for all those batteries being extracted? Who is to say those batteries will be properly recycled when they wear out? Who is going to bring a charging station to you in the middle of Death Valley on your cross-country road trip? Every Prius we've had at our shop goes completely dead if it sits for about 5 days waiting for parts. With no damage to the electrical system to blame it on.
  14. Ehh... are you sure? It's still too far away for my eyes. I do notice in that picture the nice big gap at the top of the left side A-pillar trim where it meets the headliner, and the different gaps side-to-side in the rear-facing black interior photo in that post at the sail panel trim, at the bottom. Boutique, kit-car workmanship.

    Let's say

Because I love and wholly prefer the sound and feel of internal combustion. Not to mention the completely practical and basic considerations of infrastructure, serviceability and purchase price relative to return. There really is no contest. Volt comes closest to being a real car... but the price v. return ratio is too high even with government assistance. I do not think I am being irrational.

    Golf Ragtop!

This looks wicked nice... CLICK Love the soft top, love the 2.0t, love the lack of a basket handle. This thing is CLEAN. Goodbye Eos. If only VWOA would bring it here... sigh.
  17. The Sonic, I believe, will continue to be the smallest car Americans will semi-embrace. Chevrolet has done a lot to ensure that, it is a decent puddle jumper with turbo. Look at Smrt sales... in the toilet with caca after the initial yahoos rushed to it.

    Let's say

I see no less than the Porsche CEO states he believes we are pretty near over the wave of excitement for electric propulsion, and his company forecasts a much lower vibrating electric market penetration (5%) than other forecasters (20%) by 2020. I love Porsche.
  19. Yeah but don't European cars generally suffer from sound system inferiority? Perhaps they prefer to pay more attention to the mechanical aspects under them than the radidio. The only Euro car I've been in that had a bumpin' system was my '00 GTI with Monsoon... best sound system I ever had in a wehicle. Subaru also traditionally has had a piss-poor standard sound system... with "dealer installed" tweeter kits and subwoofers... pure profit and :-/ for any buyer who values their tunes.
  20. The Fister (nasty name, ugh) website is not helpful in its description of the sound system. I still don't see a grille on that gray toomuh, but I have seen many cars with big A-pillar retainers just like that, especially with head curtain airbags. Please link me to something that explains the gray toomuh and I will shut up, as always when I am wrong. Even if it is a twitter speakuh, it still looks out of place. It should match.
  21. No contest. LSA/6MT. Wrong. Sry.

    Let's say

Let's have a poll about this question and see where things land. Go!
  23. The Spark, from all appearances, is a piece of garbage better left to the Third World. I hope we never slide that far.
  24. The difference between the real cars and the Fisker is... the Fisker interior looks like upholstered plywood boxes. Like a kit car, or an old Starcraft cabin cruiser. You can certainly tell from a good distance that it is made of parts from somewhere else. For example, look at the glaringly gray push-in retainers on the A-pillar trim. Those are GM... and Fisker didn't even take the time to make them match. THIS is on par with other $100k vehicles?
  25. An AWD Granite pickup trucklet with diesel and 6 speed manual? I could see myself in something like that. Too bad Delta II is not engineered for AWD.
