  1. Very nice teaser photo. The front end isn't very trucky, maybe it will be changed a bit for US consumption, as was the current GMT355. I thought we had to wait much longer to see the real thing, end of March isn't too bad. Interested in seeing which gas engines are under the hood.
  2. No way I can afford to keep both. Thing I like about the ex D is its trucky attitude, bulldog looks and relatively high seating position. UPDATE: stopped by and talked to the local Scion saleskid tonight after work. They have 4 ex Ds, all autotragic. They are going to pick a manual up (said they need them anyway) and email me when it comes in so I can drive it. The kid said I could get one in any combination within 3-4 days then if I decide to go through with this hare-brained scheme.
  3. Tiberius
  4. A very Sweet Pea.
  5. Say what, CRX driver? Sonic ain't out until late fall. Aveo is junque. There is no GM car in this class. Fiesta is pretty expensive, the hatch starts at, what, $17k?
  6. Our vinyl stripe guy traded his Express on one, a white XLT. He transferred his Harley-Davidson front plate. No manual trans, no factory alloys available. A bit TOO capacious, and prolly not atall fun.
  7. EVERY SINGLE ONE of the Fiestas @ the local dealer has the dreadful autotragic transmission... and 4 out of 6 are bright green. I cannot fathom the mindset that lends itself to a small, supposedly fun-to-drive car without a manual transmission.
  8. Only as a second car. For that it'd be fantastic, but I am not near able to afford that. I need something with a bit of attitude or symbolism that can haul stuff once in a while, like camping gear or home project materials. Plus it has to be cheap to buy, run and insure.
  9. Wouldn't work. Commando, baybee.
  10. Swift click in the pants, yes sir. This is what they need here, pronto. I think Suzuki's tie-in with VW can only improve their fortunes.
  11. ...even with rims and tint? The ex D looks so stubborn and bulldoggy style...
  12. Scion ex D in Amazon Green, manual, with the 16" alloys, mats and short shifter. Kind of reminds me of a mid-teens antique Mack truck, with its coffin nose. Motorweek's YouTube vid from when it came out in '08 says it'll turn a mid-16 second quarter, and it gave them 38+ mpg, which is well above the EPA estimate. Only thing, it said the manual gearchange is a bit long in throws, hence the short shifter.
  13. "Dodge" Sprinter did pretty well, around here at least. Ram brand will be a good thing for sales, it will mean easy servicing. That Doblo looks like an interesting alternative to the Transit Connect.
  14. I'm laughin'. Congrats, reg. And this is the perfect time to tell you guys... our dealer principals have already had several meetings with Suzuki reps in an effort to sign on to sell them at our place. Two other well-established local dealers tried (one dealer sold them for more than a decade, sold the franchise to another dealer who sold them for about a year, quite the flash in the pan.) The SX4 and Kizashi are decent products. The Equator is also good, but not a Suzuki. Saw a Kizashi traded in at the local VW dealer yesterday when I was trolling, looking for a 2.slow Jetta.
  15. Whoa, funny. Can't wait to see these with crosshair grilles. The little one isn't that bad, seems to compare well with the Transit Connect. I am wondering how the wipers clear the top half of that giant windscreen, like when you are first in line at a light, and it is snowing or pouring... I guess you'll have to wait for the horns behind you.
  16. sissy
  17. Acts occasionally. Was married to one of the chicks from a sitcom called "Friends" or some such thing. I mostly posted because I was flabbergasted somebody bought a new-style STS... in Hollywood, no less.
  18. Well, somebody bought a new-style STS. Did you guys see the photos of David Arquette's silver STS after the head-on crash in L.A.? The front end's wiped out, but the doors look openable. He went head-on into some sort of Jeep, I think it was a Patriot.
  19. New black Jetta with a buckled hood and broken grille, parked along the street. Must be a pain in the buttocks to wreck your neu car. Also been seeing some of those goofy little chipmunk Outlander Sports. They lack the polarizing looks of the Juke, but they're small, I guess they're perfect for ppl who want to sit up high, have AWD, but don't need something gigantico.
  20. Drew does Albert know you're coming on here "wanting" a Friend With Benefits? mr. cruiser... very cool Terrain. I'm sure mom made a very good return on the Camaro to get it. Good luck to her.
  21. It is a bit big. A smaller, true compact, BOF pickup is what's needed here in the US.
  22. They're going after the huge EV market. They saw Nissan Leaf sales just like we did. Who wouldn't want to go after such a big slice of pie?
  23. I very much like everything about it except for the slightly odd front end.
  24. "...coupe style..." "sweeping coupe roofline..." what are they smoking up there? Good Lord, they sound absolutely clueless.
  25. Someone in my cul-de-sac just put up a brand new, old-school TV antenna on their roof. It's been ages since I've seen one.
