  1. Amish buggies have much larger wheels than 18", and with very low profile rubber.
  2. Would break out much more with 3-door availability. Only ones doing it are Accent and Yaris, both of which I see plenty of. Neither of those has any semblance of fun in their tiny circulatory systems.
  3. trolley
  4. I like the retro "T" badge, like the old T-types. This thing might appear sedate, but it might turn out to be a runner, too. Very interesting combination of virtues that seems unmatched and distinctive.
  5. Hyper, last I saw, the Fiesta hatch is outselling the sedan. The turbo engine has a good torque figure for this class, and with the manual, GM is at least showing they're trying to make a tiny car that is worth having for fun. I hope the Press Release hype matches the road test results.
  6. Not shabby beyond redemption. Looks like you can get the turbo with the manual, a welcome return to sanity.
  7. Poorer than the maligned 155 hp, naturally-aspirated, 4 speed automatic Cobalt. Why'd we give up power and simplicity again?
  8. All worthy. More worthy than most of what we got.
  9. I've been off my game pretty badly. Congratulations to The Bobos!
  10. Does it feel solid over bumps? How does the HVAC system cope with winter weather? I think you got the best looking options/color combo available for this car.
  11. I am pleasantly surprised at how much I like this car, based on the photos. It looks OK with the 17" rims, but with the 18s it looks great. Love the interior, including the wood tone trim. Prefer it to the silver painted alternative in the Opel pics... for a Buick, that is. Prolly true that the black interior will have metallic trim. Love the nod to the '59 Buick in the angry taillights. They fit and make it distinctive. Also the portholes are a must and suit it perfectly. Like the 2.4, and it will likely exceed those mileage figures in the real world, based on GM's history. Don't like the name, but that's not important in the grand scheme. The 2.0t (GS?) version should be really nice. Not happy about the limited colour options. Two tan interiors and black. No blue or green exterior... Should look very classy in all black with the 18s and sunroof. I think this car might hit a sweet spot in the market, actually. Day and night nicer than the Cruze, imo. If GM is gun shy about 2-door hatches in a premium small car after the Astra debacle, perhaps they will build a coupe for the US. I'd like to see a convertible and wagon, too. A black coupe 2.0t with a decent roofline and appreciably noticeable decklid would be killer... chop prease?
  12. Similar to that, yes. A coupe would not make me shed a tear, either. Also a wagon. Oooo... and a convertible.
  13. Not too bad, inside or out. Needs at least two more body styles to be relevant.
  14. Elm
  15. Don't get any extras. None of them are worth the money. And you can bet that "Protection Package" cost the dealer way less than $100.

  18. Hey Ted, where the heck you been at?
  19. On the road: dark blue Cruze LT. At the mall parking lot: silver Cruze LS. At the dealer: new Exploder, silver FWD base model... with hubcaps. $29k+. It does have an SUV attitude. Not sure about the front end or the freakin' hubcaps on a $29k vehicle. Silver painted styled steel wheels with center caps would have been more convincing. EDIT: Honda Pilot base model has silver painted steel wheels with center caps. Chevrolet Traverse base model has hubcaps (true still in 2011?). Equinox and Terrain have aluminum rims standard... go figure.
  20. A bit beat up, but neat.
  21. Let's start off the new year right, C&Gers. Equality for all car spots, right here in this thread. Be Free... post away!
  22. I could use one of those on my truck to clean up some of my neighbors' Christmas decorations in their yards...
  23. Last Civic I drove (a late-model coupe), felt solid, had a stiff ride, and boomed a bit like an empty drum. The seats were nice, but the dash was too gimmicky.
