  2. This thread is not, as Oldsmoboi says, completely apolitical. I see at least 3 people going over the line with their comments. At least the incendiary comments did not actually ignite an argument, so that's something I guess.
  3. Met up with family at 6 at a restaurant for B-day dinner for Dad. Got in the door at my polling place at 7:55... *whew*, 5 minutes to spare, and I was the Last Voter.
  4. Let us know how you make out. It needs a new fender, for sure, and wheel liners, it appears. Can't really see the bumper cover problem from the photographs. Also, to ensure colour match, I'd write to blend colour onto the hood and door. Did you see a mark on the tire sidewall or wheel? If so, it should have a front end suspension alignment.

  6. Time for hot cider, logs on the hearth, and giant piles of car spots to jump into. Have at it, folks!
  7. Maybe it's the economy, ppl are cutting back on schtuff they feel is discretionary.

  9. There are at least 2 owner reviews from retirees who have bought 2011 tCs on Edmunds.
  10. I still prefer your white though. Pearl White on any vehicle reminds me of... genetic material.
  11. Carguy, I think transverse installations of the 2.0L Turbo with automatic trans were all 220 hp... HHR SS. If the Riggle Turbo were available with a manual transmission, maybe it could have 260 hp.
  12. As luck would have it, local dealer actually has a Concrete tC manual without goofy spoiler in stock. And the website is not exaggerating in its portrayal of the car... it looks good in person, with a 180 hp engine this year (more than Civic EX and Forte). I thought the Concrete colour was a non-metallic, but it does have a bit of pearl effect to it. I like the dash in the new tC, it reminds me a bit of the Acura RSX, with its high, rectangular binnacle... something different. And I like the fold-flat back seat... true utility. The interior doesn't look overly expensive, to be sure, but overall, I think the changes are all good. If I could afford two vehicles, this is one I'd definitely drive before I dismiss it out of hand.

  15. Cool man. I know how you feel... last week on the way to work, I pulled up next to my '02 shortie Silverado at a stoplight, still with a shaved clean tailgate and 3 inch Gibson exhaust system. It no longer has the Tahoe grille (more chrome than the pickup grille), because the guy had a fender bender a couple of years ago, and it was replaced with the normal pickup grille. It's still a goodlooking truck.
  16. I usually use my IBA to buy stuff like this.
  17. Sry Camino, I'm used to spending other ppl's money all the time... usually the insurance company's.
  18. I've found a lot of local latin folks (and there are many) like Toyotas (old and new, they seem to love 70's Corollas)... but my Rican next door neighbor has an Expedition and a tricked-out 300C. And we all know about the SoCal latin love for Impollas of all stripes. And I think Mexicans love Mopars, as well.

  20. Nice article, gm4life. These new Tauruses are definitely eye-catching. I love the attitude of the car... it has a swagger that has not been present in big Ford sedans since the late 60's, imo. A great American product. Please post pictures when you bring yours home. If you wait for GM to bring a credible Impala to market, you'll be an ol' man.

  23. It'd be a fun trip, doubtless.
