Dave, that's disgusting! They just jacked it up, crawled under it, and cut off the converter? Amazing, the nerve, the desperation of some individuals. The $320, is that for GM, or an aftermarket converter? Is there a way you can get a complete system out of a salvage yard, or are the converters cut off when the car hits the yard?

Oh man, thanks for posting that, 67imp. You know... I think I bought that magazine, as I was interested in these little tech wonders even then. I simply forgot. I wonder if it's here or down on the farm, in a stack with other old car mags.

Interesting... apparently Tim Allen, spokesperson for the new Chevrolet Cruze, owns and races a Yenko Stinger. I like him more now.

If the 2.4L DI makes 182 hp, I would hope a modern 2.5L would make 200. And to think the Iron Duke 2.5L was making what... 90 hp in the old S-10 and N-body cars?

Young girl with pixie haircut and aviator sunglasses driving her yellow Metro convertible with the rear end plastered with bumper stickers. How about a New Age Aveo convertible, GM? If you're gonna give us penalty boxes, at least give us one with a view.

No effing way on the junkass Verona. A 3800-powered Impala is a good bet. They are known for a clunk in the steering, but otherwise are a much better bet within your mother's price range than a Chrysler product.

Thanks for putting these up, Roger. I like that color. I still say the Terrain body, perched higher over all-TERRAIN tires and a real off-road capable chassis, would be a more appealing vehicle. As it is, it sits appallingly low, and that takes away from its butchness immeasurably.
