  9. Maybe you could try a solvent in a non-conspicuous area first to try to remove the offending silver crap. But prolly your safest bet is to test the silver for adhesion, (fingernail? plastic scraper?) spray it with adhesion promoter primer and then your interior paint. Last thing you want is for your new paint to flake, scratch or peel, revealing the crappy silver underbelly.

  12. You know when you are going to a new place and you're not quite sure where the turn is and traffic is bumper to bumper and suddenly there's the turn so you turn on your blinker that's full of fluid but NOOOOOOO the stupid bus is passing over but you don't realize it until you've turned and it smashes your new Sail to pieces and you die because it's a Chinese Chevy and it has a traditional Chinese crash protection structure? Um yeah.

  14. Can you imagine the level of brain damage from sitting in traffic jams back then and breathing all those non-pollution-controlled exhaust fooms?

  17. Just a guess based on experience, but if the driver's door is the only panel that has peeling clearcoat, I'd guess it was at some point at least repainted, if not replaced.

  20. The original owner was driving it home from the dealership when the clutch went out. It was towed to his garage and hasn't been driven since, as he was too embarrassed to tell anyone about it. All these years later, now it can be yours!
  21. Or if you don't have an eraser wheel, a heat gun or even a hair dryer set on high will soften them up without hurting the paint. Just for added ease of removal, park the truck in the sun for a while, then hold the dryer really close to the edge of the stripe (a home hair dryer will not hurt the truck's paint), start peeling by hand, and keep going 'til they're off. Any remaining shadow can be taken care of with a buffer.
  22. I see where the new Boss 302 Mustang comes in metallic yellow. I wonder if it's the same colour as on the Fiesta?
  23. Looks like a fun place to chow down on an American sub with chips and a pickle. And a Diet Coke.

  25. You guys need to be better informed when you bash. The GXP is the Bugs Bunny car. The GTP is the earlier G6 sport model, sans ridiculous bodykit, but with the 3.9L, six speed manual availability, and attractive machined finish 18" wheels.
