  1. Shoot, I thought the stock Challenger was a "wideass"... but this manages to look pretty cool. I like how they integrated the retro graphics into the treatment.
  2. I am drooling over the exterior treatment, it's the most beautiful special Challenger I've seen... but I am perplexed by the giant shifter, attached to an autotragic transmission. Yes, some Hurst/Olds (was the Hurst Grand Prix an auto, too?) were automatic, but in a pony car like the Challenger it seems a shame to back the Hemi with anything but a stout Hurst-shifted manual transmission.
  3. I love that thing.
  4. Lamar, for '09, the Cobalt Sport is no longer a separate model, but an option package on the 2LT, with all the same equipment as in '08, except it loses the 2.4L and goes for the 2.2 L VVT.

  6. I drove in, it was $2.34. Two were ahead of me in line. Cashier said "if you wait a minute, we're in the midst of lowering the gas prices". We waited, and paid $2.29. My "low fuel" warning came on yesterday... yet I still spent less than $30 to fill my tank for the first time in MANY a moon.

  8. Well, this "big announcement" coming tomorrow from GM has me worried. It's not a good time to be a car enthusiast for any manufacturer right now though. I want to see us get through these hard times and emerge stronger on the other side.

  10. Have fun over there, Drewbert. Please don't try to smuggle any bratwurst through customs in your leiderhosen.
  11. The only one half decent is the satin black one. I don't know, maybe it's the lighting in the photos, but the surfacing on the rest of those sucks. I think it's the car. I think Toyota is trying too hard to out-BMW BMW, and it ain't coming across as authentic at all.
  12. All very cool. It's unbelievable how many Challengers the Camaro has.
  13. No Bob, he meant gorilla. It's a hair thing, we wouldn't understand.:AH-HA_wink:
  14. Let's hear it!
  15. Perhaps my bubble, like yours, is impenetrable. And yes, it is my final answer. I see it every day. Kowtowing.
  16. I thought these threads were to be stopped by the admins after the election. Although it is fun to fight over these things, it does get monotonous. I'm going somewhere to read about SEMA.
  17. Too bad, so sad for them.
  18. Longtooth, if I have been too imprecise for you in my posts... is it because I quoted Barack Hussein Obama in his presidential acceptance speech? I am taking his words and posting them here.
  19. Ah, and now his supporters are backpedaling right along with him. Like good little sheep. You guys slay me.
  20. Perhaps I was wrong to assume ENGLISH WAS YOUR FIRST LANGUAGE. What I am trying to say, and I think it was in plain English, is I have a problem with people NOT MAKING ANY KIND OF EFFORT TO LEARN ENGLISH IN AN ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRY. AND, on top of that... I have a problem with the enablers who insist on kowtowing to Spanish speakers in the USA! When my people came here from Germany in the 1840's, they knew it was imperative to learn the language of the people in the country they were risking everything to move to. And they were successful. They started a brickyard that became the largest in the Lancaster, PA area... the majority of the oldtown rowhomes in this city are built with bricks bearing my family name. Do you even think for one minute they could have been anywhere near as successful if they'd insisted on speaking German... and expecting Americans to learn German in order to communicate with them? Don't be ridiculous!
  21. Both of you have to know what I'm talking about, how could you not? It was clear as a bell. Our problems will take more than one four-year term to fix? There will be many false starts? (How in the hell will he have false starts, with the House and Senate in his pocket?) Many of those who voted for him will not agree with everything he does? GOVERNMENT CANNOT FIX EVERY PROBLEM? That sounds exactly like backpedaling from the flowery talk and pseudo-inspirational speeches he gave throughout his campaign.
  22. What an unpatriotic thing to say in reference to this topic.
  23. Oh man, Autoblog has a veritable cornucopia of SEMA coolness posted over there.
  24. Satty, what are you yammering about? I am talking about people who make NO EFFORT to assimilate into our culture by learning English and speaking it to do business. In my business, I run into this problem too often. The onus is on THEM to get up to speed, not on ME, a natural born citizen.
