  2. Excellent job, Vipes. The only pic I can say could have been made better is the profile shot from the passenger side of the car... the wheels should have been turned toward the camera in that one, instead of away.
  3. Yup, and the "Nova" before it...
  4. I will never understand these guys, putting 12" rims on phone booths and calling it a car.
  5. Maybe I should clarify my opinion further. It does have the profile of the Matrix. I would much rather the Pontiac Vibe be built off Delta or the new Gamma platform, with the excellent Ecotec engines. The point I was trying to make is... it has some body contouring, it has an engaging front end and nice looking rims. I am sure it will have good fuel mileage, and I welcome back the AWD chassis. It certainly has an advantage over Chevy's small, tall hatchback, the HHR, with the AWD option. I am not sure how long GM and Toyota have this agreement for joint venture. It certainly has been going on for quite a few years now.
  6. Now that I'm all mellowed out by the green glass and tree branch pillars, and amazed at the astro turf carpeting, I am wondering what the RiN would look like if it got creamed by a Hummer H1 travelling at full speed.

    college...

First year of college, I met up with some of my high school friends. One of them brought a nice Italian chick to try to fix me up with. Pretty face, nice body, she wore a belly shirt. When I saw her from the back and noticed the preponderance of black hair on her lower back in a swirly pattern, it made me almost vomit.

  10. You are right about the "photo justice" thing, Viper. This car is flat-out gorgeous in person. Proof that GM Design is alive and well!

Why switch to girls now, Bob? :AH-HA_wink: RELAX, I'm kidding of course, it's just that you fit a certain stereotype...

  13. For now then you'll just have to settle for doing what Oldsmoboi advocates in his 1:32 post. Remember to put the Saran Wrap over your keyboard this time, though.
  14. Why not combine the two in a song? "Don't look, Ethanol!"
  15. Yes of course it cannot hope to hide its Toyota DNA, but I like it... except it looks like it has those outdated chromey-clear taillights on it from this angle. I do like the front end, it's bold, has a nicely-executed split grille, and I like the headlights. A measurable improvement over the old one. And no cladding! There is character in the sheetmetal, for example the fender line that echoes the roof curvature. See now, that's what I'd like to see on Pontiacs... a bodyshell with some sort of style (which can be debated, of course), instead of the "stealthy" G8, which is so featureless GM thinks it can fit into SIX of their global brand lineups with a minimum of unique identifiers. P.S.: does that thing have a silver arrowhead emblem?
  16. Bob's latest post in this thread reminds me of that scene in "Jackass: The Movie" when they rent that Ford Contour (?) and bring it back completely destroyed just to see the look on the rental car guy's face. What exactly are you doing to those poor rental cars, Bob? Anyway, seriously, I don't quite get the issue put forth here. You can still unlock the door with the manual button on a car with electric locks. In the event of an accident, a door will more likely be jammed shut because the bodywork is crushed than anything else, making the door lock question sort of moot, imo.
  17. Forget the Cadimino, I Spy a '65 Bel Air four door sedan with some kind of window sticker... is that a "left over"?

  19. More nice pics. How'd you get a license plate that starts with "Gay Viper..."? :AH-HA_wink:
  20. A lightly reskinned Suzuki Forenza would make a horrible Buick for NA, but a Delta II car could work, imo.
  21. LaCrosse, or Regal? It does look a bit blocky in these sequences, but the white under the camo can hide quite a bit of detail, I'm guessing.

  23. I guess I'm living in the past when it comes to car prices. With the '08 Impala LTZ I saw today going for $28.8k, the 3.6L G8 starting price is fine. I honestly hope this thing sells well, I just wish it looked the part.
