What kills the G6 GXP for me is that STOOPID wing. It totally destroys an otherwise very nice package. I actually even like the GTP better, it's sooo clean and lithe, with the polished 18" rims.

Where is the Republican candidate who is a social moderate, understands separation of church and state, promotes a fair but realistic foreign policy, sticks up for fair trade, believes in self-determination, a woman's right to choose, smaller federal government, a more controlled southern border, and fiscal responsibility? I want someone who will encourage alternative energy research, while letting the market decide what kind of cars and trucks should be built. I want someone who doesn't care if some gay folks want to marry. Two consenting adults should be left alone. Does this person exist? Probably... but would they have the courage to say so in this climate of polarization? No.

The Pep Boys taillights are meant to add spice to an otherwise sleepy design. All they really do is look cheap and "aftermarket", certainly not brand-specific.

Are we sure that's a '57 Buick? It looks like a '58. Anyhoo, that little silver-brown Phoenix is sweet, and so's the Vega GT.

I'm shocked and dismayed at the number of hybrids, actually. I thought these people were supposed to be smart?

I was talking to my cousin over the weekend. She has a co-worker who returned an FJ Cruiser off lease and got into a new Edge. I was happy to hear that. This got me thinking... is there a source of information somewhere that lists percentages of models traded for others? For example, statistically, what are the top 3 vehicles traded in for an Impala, and so forth. I'm sure some surprises would be in store. Does anyone know where this information can be found?

Well I certainly hope it was bratwurst.

Porta-Potty

It's absolutely drama-free in profile. Where are the ventiports? Where is the kick-up at the hip? The Enclave drips with Buickness, this doesn't drip anything, it is dry, a completely clean slate, generic to the point of invisibility.

I went to a German Festival once in Baltimore with a friend of mine. We ate bratwurst and saw a lot of old guys in liederhosen.

It's like the designers were locked down inside the studio in 1999, never to see the light of day or have any contact with the outside world. They lost a wide track of time. Pontiac needs more than this.

That ribbed taillamp mock-up caught my eye. Way more Pontiac-y than the Pep Boys, Altezza junk they put in the car they're peddling as a G8.

A fine car let down by totally invisible styling, and styling is such an important part of eliciting an emotional response in a potential customer.
