  1. Yo Turbo you got something to say about me spit. A "few of the others here", must be me so spit it out. You started your post with a anti name calling spew, then you finished it with comments about cheerleaders and "showing weakness". I have no weekness and if you and the croc want to come around degrading folks and their cars take what ya get. Ya want to call us weak, cheerleaders, and theres been others but I dont have the time. Yet the post starts with poster saying the cars are totally crap, substandard. If I get pissed about this it is because I was just called "substandard". Do we need more fighten words ? Then you want to cry and attack and degrade because some of us stand up and say bull?.....now we are showing weakness? Because we say they are not crap in a direct responce to a "crap" statement....now that means we are just saying they are not crap ? OK..... maybe this will help, my H and C bodys are the most excellent of cars ! I hope this helps clear the air some. Man you might better start your own car company because you might just be more of all that than your Toyotas. I to have spent much time around cars and truth is most of them are just man made junk. Anything steel can be broken, anything !!!!! There made to last 4 years for origional buyer and that is it. I used to drive Toys Hondas, VW's, Datsun's, then I found my beloved H bodies........must have been one of my "weak" moments right ? Unlike some here I actually have a licence, buy my own cars, pay my own bills and am on more than my second car and have spent countless hours doing all my own mechanical work as well as much restification of rusty undercarraiges, truck frames, various sheet metal work, ect. I have countless hours into removing plastic dash panels and door panels, I hate plastic but everyone is using it and has been for decades. So Im a weak, yesman, cheerleader but Im still waiting to hear What about that Crapaliar ? Im still waiting to hear about what made any of my 86,90,or 97 H/C bodies substandard ? Im looking forward to any direct comments to BLu and others that have pointed out problems with other cars. the best that ever gets pulled from the hat is "high tec" engine spew and "interior materials" or "interior layout" yet I have signs of weakness ? Its been so obvious that only way to get you guys happy is to put the exact Honda interior in each and every GM, then if only we would buy our engines wholesale from Japplant.com you will finally be happy. Yet you support your constant degrading of GM here on the fact that diversity of opinion is great. Yet we can not have our opinion when in fact we do actually drive the cars in question  Its just so confusing  Till you and croc and the other GM haters can come to grips with the fact that some of us here do drive GM's and some like myself have drivin and owned many GMs and have complete satisfaction with them..........back off ! Or am I to assume your insistance is some form of weakness :o ? I think Toyota and Honda should hire you and croc to go do their promoting because that is exactly what you come here to try to do. Have you seen the commercial of the salesman that put customer in car and says "you dont want to buy a car here "..........well thats you and croc and quite a few others. Its so nice to spend time with ya. :CG_all:
  2. No we can never say "penis"! No wonder people we so ashamed for centuries, I mean running around with penis's and vaginas, it darn near ruined me the first time I heard the words. Fortuantly I knew some of the better words first. LOL
  3. Public drunk law is fine, the way an officer might want to interpret a givin situation should show disgression. No legalizing weed ! Some things are sacred ! They just need to get off the urine test crap. Coke head or crackhead is one thing, high on the job is BS but being scoped for weekend puffers is almost Nazi and that comming from me! lol! Maybe we could get national health care from taxs on refers, yarite ! just throw her in the "general fund"
  4. Blu ! Your brut, you !
  5. So now Im a yes man ????? yup yup yup yup yup yuppy ! yup thats me. So what about that Crapaliar and the toyota connection, I know theres one I just dont know what it is. I dont know much about GM's past small cars. The Baretta's, old Cavaliers and Sunbirds? are just finally fading from site around this area within the last 2-3 years. Im talking a tri city area plus all the surronding hill towns. Nothing really huge but diverse of car choises. Well the GM's I drive are great and Japs havent had anything in that type of car. I love my cars, because everytime I go sit down, turn the key and drive away I just feel like saying..... "Yes !!"...... B) as for the Asian cheerleader, lets just say "your easily entertained"
  6. they sure messed up with that SII intake. I do like opening the hood to all my cars and knowing I have that engine in all its forms to depend on. They have been very agreeable with me. I have following 90* B U I C K based engines in cars and running or gone as listed 86 LN7 3.0 LeSabre coupe - restified 150,000 - 80,000 ours 86 LG2 3.8 Riviera - project - 93,000 - none 87 LG3 3.8 spare engine, not in car 87,000 - none 90 LN3-C 3.8 in Regency, on road 328,000 - 14,000 ours 90 ??? 3300 in Ciera Cruiser, on road 190,000 - 18,000 ours 91 L27 in Regal, traded for '99 below at 244,000 - 28,000 ours 99 L36 in Eighty Eight 50th Anniversary - was returned on Lemon Law case @ 80,000 - 10,000 ours 97 L67 Olds LSS our baby, on road 110,000 - 50,000 ours also have a 84 Turbo Riviera engine laying around but cant vouch for it. we put 50,000 miles on a 89 NYer in the middle somewhere plus miles on old Oldsmobile 350's and I have a 3.9 Dakota as well. Thats 1,282,000 miles. Not all ours, we are only responsible for 200,000 miles These engines have done it with minimal attention. Its not likely Ill run out of Buick V6 powered cars to drive for quite some time and still plan on a 95 or 96 SC Riviera one day as well as a L27 or L36 Regal GS coupe. so while everyones driving "tec" Ill be driving with my wallet fully inplace. B)
  7. Arent those Quad 4 specs for the HO engine ? Also must remember emission specs are most likely stricter but I know nothing about that. Actually it says alot that GM has put the OHV engines up to what OHC engines used to be at. At one point in time no one would have ever believed it could be done. Hondas been highly advanced in engine development for along time. Its to bad GM is behind them but they are. Im not going to loose sleep over it. SC 2 litre Cobalt is doing well on the track against the competition so something must be alright. The new 3.5 is around where the 3.5 Intrigue shortstar engine was though I think it lacks some torque. We like our OHV engines and want to see them live on. It is to bad real savings cant be seen in initial cost when new. I sure save lots on the used cars though. I dont see all these big high redl.ines everyone boasts for the Jap engines anyhow. 6000 is enough and few engines ever see it.
  8. Well they are in Rolex Grand Am but Im sure you know that, so is GTO. I beleive Mustang and GTO would be in GT2 if in AMLS, correct ? Then they have big displacement engines and Im not sure if there is limits in GT2. Oh wait you are talking GT, duh, like GT (40), they should get that car in there, what a battle that would be. Corvette Aston Martin Maserati Saleen GT (40) Viper ? Lambroghini ? Maranello ? Would be just like the old days, how about a Jaguar. The Maserati was giving good chase too, that cars really showing some potential. How long can Corvette hold its pace and dominate. #3 Corvette failed, if #4 had problems it would have been Aston, Saleen, Maserati. Well Ill hope to see the competition getting stronger and the Corvette to continue to come out on top.
  9. speaking of degeneration here comes the croc of ____ ! He even brought his Asian cheerleader. Cant realize that in contrast to the haters that post here often there is also the fans. What a croc. So how about that Crapaliar ?
  10. Good, Im glad he now can, why not when you were in highschool ? Just think what he has to look forward too. He'll be out fighting for jobs with cocky kids that think he is the burdon on their SSI. I wish him the best, sincerely ! You said I was ignorant by quoteing half of a paragraph indicating my uncertainty of skills and job discriptions of inside work , correct ? We can not have N Americans working for what 3rd world markets allow ! Period ! I dont care what area of work they perform. What the hell is the problem with this ? In fact I have a good example, today, I was robbed 1 dollar for a call from pay phone to a cell phone. Requested I add one dollar, rang 3 times and got reply "we are unable to complete call as dialed". Took my money and that was that. I called the number to get return, I got .....who knows, India, we can not return your money, dial 611, got someone in ...who knows, poor english, no we can not return your money dial 211, got someone... who knows, they all sounded faint and foreign, no we can not return your money call the number on the phone for refund.......I explained what I had been doing for the last 10 minutes and was told to try again using area code and 1, got three rings, then "we are unable to complete your call as dialed", click and another 1 dollar gone. 20 years ago, dial 0, get operator, a fine American gal, explain problem, she says OK, phone goes k-ching, k-ching and there lays your money as well as polite American speaking woman that puts the call through for you. Why in the hell do they need to save money on American labor when they have such a scam going in the first place ? Nevermind, unrelated Im sure.
  11. the genious of Orson Wells. Well theres a few hoses still flopping around in the breeze down south at the refinerys. When they get them lasoed and tied up well see prices back down to 2.39 where they were before the big crisis struck. Remember when it went up 40 cents in 4 hours, one dollar in what 2.33 days ? Dont worry we all got a great big raise comming........down the pipeline.........you know that trickle down pipeline...........just be sure to get inline now so you dont miss your drip...........Dip! Dance to the pull of the Puppet Masters
  12. GM has made some great standup products during the last 2 decades. There has been lots of developement. The Asian cars have not been "all that" themselfs. Then could someone please tell me - Isnt the Crapalier a Toyota ? I mean lets take the GM car that most of us here would never consider buying and throw that up like its the defination of a GM product. I just dont know
  13. You gotta point ? Spit it out. What is it you didnt get about the whole paragraph I wrote ? Or was that just another "throw that ball directly at the batter". Are you mad at me because I dont know everything important that goes on inside ? Many have been saying that nothing that goes on outside is important. So whos ignorant ? Just one right ? Only one can be ignorant.
  14. XLR you chose to continously ignore what has really gone on. Money for product ? Well Caddy just got quite a jab. I guess Fiat did too [clears throat] those damn union workers ! Strikes ? It was just shown here that the recent strike threat had to do with continuing product manufacture on this continent as well as developement. Also that the 96 strike was also about the same. So this is a bad thing, I would think that old team spirit would kick in and say thats rightous ? You want to complain and bring up cheap Chinese or India labor as if to say thats what you want workers in N America to regress to ? Gawd ! Yet you support the health care industrys wealth ? Then complain about this 1500 per vehical in the same breath ? Then as if to suggest the 1500 should just go away and ....Im not sure have Americans without health insurance ? The best one is going after the pensions like the money wasnt contributed by the workers and invested on their behalf, and somehow its their fault the money evaporated ?
  15. unrelated tangents ? comprehension ? More word to look up  Was that like when the pitcher throws the ball directly at the batter ? Well Lakefire, Im not into the all consuming American thing, the disposable socioty so I see much of your ideas on "fueling the economy" as the enemy. Id rather buy my nails in a weighed brown paper bag than an air tight bullet proof plastic container thats worth more than the 4oz. of product. I like evenflow not rapid growth and inflation. We could go off into how all these cheap products today are great for the economy because of the implanted failure = job security. We could get into how massive land developement due to massive population explosions is good for the economy, forget environment and all that comes with population. Then its a real nightmare to think about what happens to all those employed if the current rate of expansion were curbed ? I could think of many similar scenarios but to sum it up sooner or later all things come to a head. Anyhow, how is it you figure more jobs within the country or continent I should say for all our Canadian friends would make more unemployment ? In India and China ? How is it you figure the wealthy dont control the money and its distribution ? Jobs, oppertunity, education, skills ? What makes anybody think everyone wants to sit at desk, work inside, shuffle paper, or what ever else goes on ? Have you ever seen a new comer to a job or business or "skill" where you can look at them and see that "this is clearly not for them" ? It has nothing to do with skills, capability, smarts, or education many types of work just turn people off but spark others. Why is this a problem for so many ? All my post have been made to address this problem and say everyone needs to make a good living doing what they enjoy or are interested in. Without pointing the finger and "saying you are the problem" when clearly there are many many problems. Its simply amazing the negitive attitude about this.
  16. I am not wise, back when I was young I did however know everything their was to know about everything. I too was once wet behind the ears. I have since lost all that wisdom and wished to share some of the ignorantly obvious discoverys that have come banging on the door.
  17. So where is this uselessness statement ? Perhaps I question their true value but it so appears blue collar value is too ? Hmm ? Thanks for telling me why Doctors are paid more. I wasnt looking for Doctors wages, anywhere, never, I do question the recent greed and how the government and many individuals chose to ignore that while attacking fellow workers that get up everyday and go to work, while its clearly obvious the health care industry is causeing way too much trouble in this country and getting filthy stinking rich while doing so. Its interesting to see all the defence for the wealthy while urging for the poverty of others. Very very interesting. I need to go look up that word.............ignorance? is it ?
  18. Two notable car haulers today. One in passing, so I cant recall any cars other than the 63 or 64 Riviera perched on the top rear. What bothered me was he was empty below it. Just had that unsafe load look to it. Top heavy. The 2nd car hauler was in a service area and had a 68 or 69 Riviera on front top, with a mid 60's GTO in the center top followed by a 70ish GTO. There was a older 2dr Mercedes coupe bottom center, the other two cars were not noteworthy. Drove with a A8 for a spell otherwize just the company of the usual great GM's mixed with cloudy patches of sheep.
  19. Permantly scared  :o "Oh my God !"
  20. Its the current value of your oil stocks - dummy !
  21. Clean sided #5 is best. Air dam on #4 I like but it shows my age. # 2 has had all its character sucked out of it. #3 is a most excellent photo and car. It has taking me along time to like this GP but now I truely do. The back could be better but it is what it is. This car has a very aggressive look on highway. I traveled with one for a while today. I think it was lowered, it was much closer to the road than any other car around.
  22. XLR and "Sciguy" your both still a little wet behind the ears. Take this for example " Never thought of it like that, Caddy." theres not alternatiove ways of looking at things. They are what they are and should be seen not "thought of" for what they are. Now this is interesting "Some people just want to bring all the factory jobs back, and I guess send the higher skilled jobs overseas. They want a lower skilled country it seems. " Oh really? so this is how it "seems" this is how you "think" of it ? Ill try to help you out, I want a self sufficient country, as much as possible. Is there something wrong with that ? I want a country that has jobs for everybody. It must be nice living in the dream world thinking everybody can get through life doing what you find a interesting job. Insisting that everyone should have the same interests of a kind of work. I do not wish for one iota of a job to leave N. America, I want N.America to be strong. Very nice little twist there XLR, " send the higher skilled jobs overseas", I havent seen anyone nor myself post that but Ive seen you and others post against the common brother. " They want a lower skilled country ", what are you talking about, if that wasnt so sick it might be worth laughing at. Once again XLR wants to pull that big word he learned "skill" out of his hat as if to say he knows what is skilled and what is not. Insulting fellow hard working humans as if they are skilless. Pretending all these office workers control some special key that unlocks these "skills". Sciguy, nice little twist telling me about the basics of above mentioned trades, you illustrated a great level of "skill" at a smoke screen(not really, highly unskilled but Im sure you will get better with age). However I believe I was talking about the corruption, irresponsibility, and perversion of the above trades, not the root of their existance. Thanks for reviewing kindergarten for me. I do work in the field, wanna come run through the "skills" with me ? Yes indeed, still just a little wet behind the ears. I like looking at the whole picture..........dont you ?
  23. I cant believe I missed that, I never really looked it over. Look at the lenght of those front fenders ! So it was a front engine mid mount :D I cant believe the stuff this is going through my mind with modern potential. Interesting.
  24. Actually there something abut the dash and console of the Lacrosse I like. Id be in favor of a more dressed up "limited" version but I really like the fact that it has its own character. I dont like any of the steering wheels for handling but I like the 3spoke better. At least it opens up 4:00 & 7:00 positions. The Buick wheel is not what it should be, I felt this same way after sitting in 95-01 Riviera too. The Olds wheel switch were so much better at the time. These Lacrosse wheel switches look too attached instead of intigrated and the four spoke wheel almost makes a negitive comfort statement and handling statement. Sometimes less is more. SO heres a photo of that 90 Regency TS wheel and gauges, the wheel is simple, nothing in the way. I know air bag means bigger but lets trim those spokes up.
  25. wow, now were up to 70,000. Who said GM has made substandard product for the last 2 decades ? Oh the magazines ? Until everybody is ready to take care of the main problems at hand its very stupid to go to the bottom and start pointing the finger. Wheres the "corporate America sucks" thread ? Wheres the "greedy minipulating wallstreet" thread ? Wheres the "filthy stinking rich Doctors and Health insurance officers" thread ? Wheres the "our governments sucks" thread ? When part of Americas population is flying high, living large, like theres no tomorrow, no limits, dont start a bunch of crap over another part of Americas population that getting a job done. I like looking at the whole picture......dont you ?
