  1. That's just cruel, Ocn.
  2. Ugh! Had a Cavalier loaner when my '87 Camino was in for service once - worst POS with a bowtie I ever drove. Hated every minute of it. Pure, rattly, junk.

    Mom's Car

My aunt had one just like it in black cherry with a black interior and buckets, console and horseshoe shifter. It hung around for several decades, and she bought it new.
  4. I thought about vintage, but dismissed it. Nice work, Cubitar.
  5. I figured it had to do with security somehow, still stumped though.
  6. I'm not even sure what to call it yet.

    Ahhh snow

Kayak in the snow sounds like big fun, just watch out for fences - saw a kid nearly get decapitated using a canoe that way.
  8. The things I'm thinking about now would require a new set of test parameters...
  9. Good idea, Loki. Just answered another inquiry on the Mothertruck...
  10. Don't forget the Tacoma buy-back (50% of production) and the cracking structure of the FJ Cruiser.
  11. What part of "Toyota leads in recalls" don't you understand? Don't be such an ass.
  12. You can have a 200R4 built to handle greater power. Should I be so lucky as to get back to my Camino project someday, I will have to decide which auto to use. Likely it will be a beefed-up 700R4. There is a slight chance that a manual conversion could take place.
  13. Seems to have been a problem at my old ISP, as it is now working. I wonder how many e-mails are now lost forever. Not a good thing when you have listings on Craigslist.
  14. I feel the same way as Balthazar as far as losing something of real value goes. The trouble is that for some time now, I've had no choice. Having to do that over and over is a bitter pill to swallow. Time and again, I have had to entirely restructure my life and start over at zero - never being able to consolidate things in a defensible position. It has made me weary. And yet, there is no choice but to do it all again.
  15. Exactly how I feel about it. The thing I hate about our weather here is that it tends to come in large blocks (a week of rain, a week of severe cold, a 10-day heat wave...). I don't mind a day or two of a given sort of weather, but the persistence of one type of nasty or another drives me nuts. And wind is the worst. Bitter out there today.
  16. 2 GM trucks here approaching 200k... oh yeah, and a 33 year-old Chevy wagon. All regularly used. Seen any 33 year-old Toyotas?
  17. It's something like being falling-down drunk and trying to negotiate your way through a narrow hallway filled with priceless sculpture - that doesn't belong to you.
  18. No. But the process tends to suck... alot. And I'm still turning those pages.
  19. The thing about that booklet is... the next page tends to be worse than the previous.
  20. Wanna trade?
  21. Our weather has been exceptionally cold, wet, and grey for an unusual length of time now. But it's the damn wind I can't take.
  22. Thanks!
  23. Anyone?
  24. You guys all know by now that I have no sound on this machine, so I need a favor. This is a live version of a song I love, and I'm wondering if the sound is any good. I posted it elsewhwere and I'd hate to be doing the band a disservice.
  25. I don't mind the cold so much, but wind ruins my day.
