  1. Good luck with the condo,Z... ... and the HOA. What's the status on your Vette?

    Magic numbers

Don't forget 273. And 340. And 360. I have stories for the first two.
  3. Seems somewhat early to be "voting".
  4. It would raise eyebrows. Still, interesting possibilities there.
  5. Well, nudity certainly isn't a novelty at a hospital. At least that's what I got from his post, Satty. Though hot nurses make a better conversation out of it.
  6. Penske is unique in this list in a number of ways. It would certainly be a controversial choice, but it could be read as bold.
  7. Pertaining to subsidies for alt fuels. Where are troops are, and how much fuel they use is a mere side story as long as we continue to rely on oil imports from hostile regions.
  8. I think Saudi Arabia is a house of cards. As are all monarchist/authoritarian states in that region.
  9. To put it another way, I think our national energy insecurity constitutes a "clear and present danger".
  10. It's only my opinion Loki, but I think this is one instance where pragmatism outweighs idealism.
  11. Last time I checked, they weren't flying planes into buildings or invading their neighbors. In this world, that's pretty stable.
  12. I left the buyer I had lined-up two messages about this earlier today. He never called back, so I assume that's the end of that. This stupidity cost me the sale and over a week of my time.
  13. That's the issue I've been pressing with the state rep's office, if it isn't illegal - then it needs to be. It seems I've convinced them of the need for legislation to address the problem.
  14. Penske... Hmm, that could be interesting.
  15. The whole thing is absurd when you think about it. For over a week they prevented me from giving them money.
  16. Lucky you, Z. It didn't work out so well this week for me. ...at least not yet.
  17. As I said, a great incentive to get the alternatives going. But the mere fact of our need to import the stuff should have been enough incentive on its own. Any non-domestic fuel is a risk to our survival in an energy-hungry age. Just imagine the boost to our economy a fully domestic energy supply would be. It's staggering.
  18. Umm yeah, Chase.
  19. I have read that. In the short-term, it is still critical to secure more oil from all friendly sources. Long-term we need multiple substitutes, and we are woefully behind in making that happen. Clean, renewable, and domestic sources of energy are possibly the most critical asset in any attempt to renew our standing in the world. We stand little chance of maintaining our standard of living if we fail to get that done.
  20. And old tires someday. I hope that project survived the GM storm. I'm all about changing our fuels, I get testy when there is pressure to change the cars.
  21. You know, given the changes I'm making, the Gladiator (with a plow) would almost be enough truck for me right now. Towing would be the only problem. Neat truck.
  22. Relative the the rest of the world, Mexico is pretty stable. Might not be paradise, but it isn't the Middle-East.
  23. That Wrangler pickup was quite the cool piece.
  24. The fact that they are both stable neighbors and allies makes me wish that they could provide all of the oil we need. They'd be the last two I'd want to eliminate, but I would still be happier if our energy supplies were entirely domestic.
  25. I tend to think of pickups in this configuration as things of limited usefulness, but with the diesel and the towing capacity, this one is better than most. The front is styled decently, DF. The box is a bit puny, but people buy stuff like this.
