  1. Actually I did know - thus my comment.
  2. That happens when the "highest authority" understands little or nothing about automobiles.
  3. Can't wait to see what you do with it.
  4. Good question. Yes, there are other reasons for me to choose Challenger over Camaro. I've never really been a "pony car" guy, I prefer the "musclecar" heritage. Yes, I loved my Firehawks, but my GTO was more like what I have always gravitated to in a car. The Challenger fits that bill more exactly than does Camaro. Had Chevy done a new Chevelle (as was the plan initially), I'd be right there. I really like the new Camaro (and the Mustang for that matter), but a more mid-size coupe based performance car has always been the sweet spot for me. So Challenger wins. With all of that said, there is no real "gotta have" for me right now after the ST's cancellation. I will wait and be content with what I have or can find in used/classic cars until something else is good enough for me to spend new car money. What I won't do, is settle for anything less.
  5. Wait a minute... isn't the board getting booted out at Obama's request? If these ass clowns decided to kill Pontiac in 2015, and made the decision several years ago, they obviously need to be dumped. It amazes me that such power could be given to complete idiots.
  6. Wow, imagine being sued and finding out that not only you are sterile, but that your kids are not your kids. Crazy.
  7. Agreed. But can the senators, and the media, and the sheeple be convinced?
  8. Creative. But it would require a bankruptcy judge to set aside franchise agreements in each of the 50 states. All of which follow different rules. But if it were voluntary...
  9. I had the same experience in owning my GTO, and want more of the same.
  10. Yeah, but in any eventual arrangement, FOG's point about following through is essential. And I would add to that being better at leveraging the resources you have (esp. architectures) for maximum ROI. GM just plain stinks at that.
  11. Sobering, isn't it?
  12. And the whole discussion becomes moot if the Chinese buy Buick. We'll have to look at a new scenario.
  13. Only if they can garner the required volume, a much harder mission when you count on Buick for that.
  14. They have to get the product right no matter under what brand scenario, or it's all moot.
  15. +1 I'd have a new place to hang my automotive hat.
  16. Meh, you don't deserve one, PCS. :AH-HA_wink:
  17. The G8 is barely fleeted at all, not a real concern there.
  18. No. Those were lifted or it would not have been planned for our market at all.
  19. That all depends on the exchange rate - which is quite good at the moment. And I think most (if not all) of the duties have been eliminated.
  20. I see only a tiny chance of that working, and you'd have to change Pontiac back into a full lineup to make it possible. No, I think Pontiac and GMC would go away.
  21. That's not a bad place to start, Holden regularly trounces BMW down under, it would be fun to watch them give it a try here. And I'd help. :AH-HA_wink:
  22. Down quite a bit now that the GP is gone - that was a true fleet queen.
  23. I'd sign up for the Holden thing Immediately. But, losing Buick seals the fate of Pontiac and GMC - not good.
  24. A very cheap shot, Moltar.
