  1. After all, I've been waiting for two decades.
  2. Hmm nothing! I want answers!
  3. Don't forget that they are paying PCS' inflated salary too. :AH-HA_wink:
  4. Haven't heard anything lately, and I'm beginning to wonder if they will make an appearance during the show season at all. Fingers crossed.
  5. I took the second one that Satty posted as well. I thought it had better questions, but the results were really odd and off the mark. 1 Biden 2 Guiliani And then a three-way tie for third McCain Romney Obama Bizarre.
  6. No, not all in a row - I just listed cars as I recalled them. All of them were beaters, but reliable beaters. Olds was always my knee-jerk choice when I needed a cheap car in a hurry.
  7. It was just a beater I took in trade.

  9. Thanks for posting this, I feel a bit guilty for not doing it myself. I've been a bit... distracted.
  10. Well this thread has veered a ways off-topic, but no matter. About Alpha and a Cadillac variant, my point is that it is a much simpler thing to upgrade an existing platform to a higher level than to "de-tune" a premium one to meet volume requirements. For that reason alone Cadillac should not take the lead on Alpha.
  11. There should always be a mix that stretches from the thrifty to the thunderous.
  12. Without large vehicles, the country would grind to a halt.
  13. NO. But the two platforms are complimentary and should co-exist - whichever brands get them.
  14. I can't help you with this one, but if you like it - snag it.
  15. No matter what, the bottom line is that we need another fuel source (or sources). Anything short of that is a band-aid at best.
  16. Asking the question makes us human, assuming we have the answer makes us fools. If an afterlife exists, only the dead know about it - everything else is just fiction. I have one belief regarding all of this, that an afterlife is a possibility. And I only believe that much because I can't conceive of an end to my own conciousness.
  17. So, no truth in advertsing?
  18. BS Car rag driven perception is all DOHC really has going for it. I'd prefer a pushrod engine any day.
  19. A Cadillac alpha would be fine, but Cadillac developing Alpha would not. The development should hinge on volume capability with an uplevel version finished by Caddy. It is much easier to add Cadillac style to a platform than de-content it for volume when designed as a preium product. If Caddy gets the nod, they will have a relatively low-volume product with built-in expense that would make creation of a Chevy alpha more difficult without ruining it.
  20. If that comes to pass I believe that you will be shocked by the small number you actually end up pleasing.
  21. Not crap, but not mainstream. Caddy and Chevy are the wrong places for Alpha. Caddy because Alpha will be too small and because Caddy will design in expense that would preclude broad appeal. Chevy because it already has too large of a portfolio to adequately support alpha. Clearly, the RWD expertise within GM lies with Holden and the best marketing opportunity for Alpha lies with Pontiac.
  22. Funny, I went to a gathering of GTO owners last night. It was a spur of the moment thing arranged via a website. Yet, on short notice, and in January in PA, more than a dozen well-loved GTOs showed up. Cateras only gather in scrapyards.
  23. Scott's estimate was 65%
