  1. The current reality: Today I ordered all of the body mounts still available from GM, 4 of the upper mounts are no longer available but the ones on the car all look good. All of the new suspension parts arrived yesterday and the weather is supposed to be good this coming week, so I hope to get something done soon.
  2. Very cool,BV! Thanks. I like quite a few of those. The dark green and white is sweet.
  3. Probably the first car I laid eyes on. My mother will tell you that this stuff started VERY early with me. When it came time to hunt for my second car, All I had eyes for was an El Camino. There was a pristine '72 SS at a local gas station that had been garage kept that I wanted sooooo bad. My father vetoed that one, so when I went looking again, I left him out of the process. I found a black 454SS El Camino and it was all over, I decided that I would own that car at all costs. And so it happened.
  4. These might be cool too.
  5. I think I'm going to test fit my chrome Hawk wheels just for grins (and because they are in the barn).
  6. I'm open to all input at this point, I'll make the hard decisions later.
  7. I really have to get the sound working on my machine again.
  8. I'm up for those chops. This is fun! Got lost on the AR site for a bit.
  9. I love brushed aluminum slots! So simple, so clean!
  10. Now there's a thread title that grabbed our attention!
  11. That sort of "turbine" style wheel does go with the car's vintage. Finding a set might not be so easy though.
  12. One thing about the Firehawk wheels and the IROC wheels that I like is that they pick up the color of the car. Makes them a bit more personal to just this car. If you know what I mean.
  13. Thanks for the pic of the Street Stars. I'd have to see them chopped onto the Camino, but I don't think they are my cup-o-tea.
  14. The simulators don't have my car, or anything even close.
  15. I hope to see as many options as I can before I choose. I think I know what street stars look like, might be an option. Iroc rims and the old Monte SS alloys would fit, but I'd like to try a 17" wheel if I can.
  16. Spacers make me nervous and those wheels are way too different in all dimensions to make them work on this car. My choices are a bit limited.
  17. Torque thrusts and Cragar S/S are knee-jerk choices for this car and they look good. But, I want something different. Zo6 wheels will never fit.
  18. Here is what they look like on the car they were built for:
  19. I asked Northstar to do this for me. The perspective is a bit off 'cause I couldn't find a source pic at the right angle. opinions?
  20. As long as Black and White is one combo, I'm good!
  21. I wonder how these would look:
  22. Please tell me you're kidding.
  23. Not too far from here.
  24. These jackasses always go for the wrong target. Here are a few better options. -Optimize roads for traffic flow - Create REAL Mass Transit - Support the creation of viable infrastructure for alternative fuels -Fund alternative fuel research and pilot programs - Offer attractive tax incentives for increasing the efficiency of all heated buildings - Offer attractive tax incentives for Increasing the efficiency of all electrically and fuel powered devices in homes, businesses and industry. Should I go on?
  25. Not really. The Ws are on ther way out and not worth investing in anymore.
