  1. Well, maybe if I added just a little horsepower...
  2. No,damnit! I have a plan. http://www.cheersandgears.com/forums/index...showtopic=16013 Yeah, that's it, a plan. A plan? What plan? AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH
  3. Umm, well I uhh....
  4. That would be fun. NO! Must..... resist!
  5. Lab pups are so great, they can own your heart in a second.
  6. Thanks,Ocn. They seem to like it! Or, at least the left front tire. :AH-HA_wink:
  7. Now cut that out! I wish I had a paint booth, it would make all of these projects sooo much easier to do.
  8. Wagon: gets the camino drivetrain, some details, maybe paint and then flipped. Maserati: sell at Carlisle Auction Jaguar: sell as is on ebay '98 Hawk: still trying to get the prototype parts for it, but it will have to be sold whether or not I can get them - probably for sale soon. Crew cab pickup: finish the resto and sell - unless I need it for work. GTO: I'd like to keep this one, but who knows? EC parts car: take what I need and straight to ebay Silverado: not likely to ever leave Camino: Restore as fast as I can and enjoy for a bit. If I get a good offer its on to the next one!
  9. SHHH! Don't tempt me!
  10. The parts car dash is the same color as this one and only has the one large crack. This one has a few smaller cracks, but neither of them is good enough to dye for the Camino.
  11. Gotta love it!
  12. Thanks, I just hope I can avoid liking this car too much - it already is growing on me.
  13. I voted "as needed" and that about sums it up. I try to keep it short and don't take chances because of the cell. I think the problems stem from people for whom it is a Pavlov-grade response whenever the damn thing rings. You know the type, if they are awake they are on the cell. Unfortunately, these folks inevitably lack the skill required to drive and talk at the same time.
  14. You already know what I think. :AH-HA_wink:
  15. Couple of interior pics from when the car was on ebay:
  16. I don't think the Craft Center has a product currently.
  17. Yeah, the body is really good and the interior is even better (pics later) No drivetrain in it now, it had a crate motor that the guy wanted for his truck. You read my mind on the bumper: Yes, they are interchangeable.
  18. That's basically the plan, though some of the details may change. And yeah, the barn is pretty big. But, I need to get some of the cars gone VERY soon.
  19. Zora and Arkus had to check it out too:
  20. B&BL and I just got back with the '77 Chevelle wagon I was talking about. Pics in a little while.
  21. I suspect that there will be quite a bit for us all to learn about electric propulsion as the Volt advances toward production. Should be interesting.
  22. I dislike this reality so much that I may do the same thing with my next GM. Onstar needs an "off" button.
  23. I thought this thread was supposed to be about the Volt, not a pointless re-hash of GM's sins of the past. As a concept, the Volt is a homerun. It turned the automotive press on its ear and even grabbed the attention of the mainstream media. While doing so it even got the attention of hard-core enthusiasts who would normally scoff at cars of this sort. I know, because I'm one of them. The real story now is how well, and how soon GM can bring this concept to production. What they are doing with the Volt is yet another example of this GM not being the one-trick-pony it has been accused of being in the past. The pendulum is finally swinging in the right direction now that GM is rolling out a continuous parade of well-received new models. The momentum is building and the Volt is part of that. When Lutz took over he said they would be building "Gotta Have" product, and they certainly are. Witness Solstice,Sky, Aura,Malibu, the entirety of GMT900,Camaro,G8, and now the Volt. That's one hell of a recovery in a very short time and I, for one , am going to be happy about it.
