  1. Abso- freakin-lutely!
  2. Sometimes automakers look for answers that are too big as well: fuel cells.
  3. I like the way you think!
  4. You guys all know that this type of car is not what I would normally go for. Even so, I voted yes to production and yes that I would consider buying it. I tend to baby the cars I really love (you know, rare and powerful) but I drive the hell out of my daily transport (truck). This car appeals to me for running errands, getting my morning cup of coffee, buying groceries and so forth. It just seems a bit silly to take a diesel-powered,4x4,2500HD out to get a pack of smokes. The Volt would make a good substitute and keep the "stupid miles" off of the truck which is my bread and butter. The best part is that the styling is so good that even I would be willing to drive it. I would not be embarrassed to be seen driving this car - not at all.
  5. Is it better than the old CTS? Yes. Maybe even dramatically better. But I don't love it. Only the V saved the first CTS for me, maybe it will do the same for this one.
  6. I have and I love it. Sounds like a very interesting event.
  7. I know it will be hard, but remain polite but be resolute that the car be exactly correct when you finally get it back. This is some piss-poor service and you are entitled to better.
  8. At first blush, I'm lukewarm on this update. I guess that I expected more "wow" than I'm getting from these pics. The rear is much improved, but the rest isn't doing much for me. Having never liked the styling of the CTS (except the V), maybe I was expecting too much.
  9. Got two copies of the same one today - looks very official. Just a heads-up.
  10. Good luck with the job Fly, something tells me it will be a battle. I don't think I'd want to do an oil pan R&R on a FWD. Let us know how it goes, I'm curious about how tough it really is.

  12. :rotflmao:
  13. Far,far closer to reality than Sequel.
  14. When he decided to buy a Mitsubishi.
  15. I hope you're right Ocn, the face of this car and its stance and proportions are near perfect. I could see them improving on a zeta-sized car easily. Looking at the tails, it is easy to imagine the design morphed into a "3 rectangle" Impala design. I like this car more with each view.
  16. No offense, but I'm glad you're not designing my next car. It does my heart good to finally see a car without headlights the size of Texas and tail lights the size of Alaska. Trim, precise, great lines and integration of form: what's not to love? I'm really glad to see an alt. fuel/EV that doesn't look like a pile of $h! on a go-cart chassis (Prius). I hope the Pridiots are feeling like the fools they are.
  17. Ugh, dog baths. I don't even want to think about it.
  18. BMW found perfection, then proceeded to mess with it.
  19. Should have - didn't. Drove the '98 Hawk around instead. :AH-HA_wink:
  20. Body shape: Excellent Front and rear: Crap Not a Jag, looks like an Aston Martin in drag.
  21. Bummer! I worry about this with my Maserati bigtime: the oil pan is cast aluminum, structural, front and center and waaaayy low. What happened to you would have aced my engine. I am VERY careful about road hazards when I drive that car.
  22. I would describe BMW as vulnerable, but not in trouble yet. They have become a bit too complacent and have lost a bit of focus as well as style. However, they have a huge bank of good will and haven't come close to squandering it - yet.
  23. It's just so... disturbing. It also damages the plants quite a bit. I saw a Cherry tree in full flower just before Christmas, by now it may be leafing out. If it does, it will be severely damaged when it does get cold.
