  1. Interior has far too many large gaps and cutlines, but this could be a successful people mover if they fixed the interior.
  2. Dodgefan! The admins at C&G have decided that Dodgefan has demonstrated that he is more than up to the task of administrator and we have thus rewarded him with his new position. Let's all give him a cheers!
  3. The exterior is OK, but the interior is just absolutely brutal. It looks like an updated version of the Astra's.
  4. This is a concept, though... it is the correct size for Alpha and therefore I wouldn't be surprised if the Alpha Cadillac looked something like this... there is no reason they can't change it to RWD for the production version. And yes it only has 160HP, but again, it is a concept. Perhaps GM is actually keeping some tricks up its sleeve for once and really has a 250HP model planned for production, but just didn't want to let everyone know it could produce such a vehicle.
  5. This is a concept, not a production vehicle. How do you know a production version would not have more power?
  6. Why are you always so unreasonable in your post? The Tesla roadster costs over $100k. This car would be around $50k, I think. There is a reason why the Tesla performs how it does, because it is very expensive.
  7. That is an interesting idea, but I'm not sure the Eldorado name really works. If this is what the Alpha Cadillac is going to look like, they could just make a hybrid version of it; this car is pretty much the right size for a 3-Series competitor.
  8. Wow, this is very cool! I love the styling, wonder if it is a preview of the Alpha-based Cadillac? It is pretty much the right size to compete with the 3-Series. Here are more pics: http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/11/detroit...onverj-w-video/ The Sixteen-esque styling definitely works, too.
  9. Why wouldn't a high power version be AWD?
  10. Aside from the front end, which I really like, I am not very impressed. The rest of it is either boring (profile) or ugly (rear), and the interior, while it looks nice, gives me a sort of last-gen G35 vibe.
  11. Umm, what? Looks like the Camry? When was the last time you had an eye exam?
  12. When do Toyota and Honda not have far fewer incentives than GM and Ford? And look at the increase in incentives for Toyota... nearly doubled.
  13. Wow, it looks fantastic in those pictures. I like the interior in that color and the exterior continues to grow on me.
  14. That's about all I can think of... I got gas for $1.49 3-4 days ago, it's $1.89 now.
  15. The only car on there that directly competes with the Malibu is the G6. Impala was down because of fewer models going to fleet.
  16. From a list of the top 20 selling vehicles for 2008: RANK VEHICLE 2008 2007 '07 RANK % Chng 3 Toyota Camry 436,617 473,108 3 -7.7 4 Honda Accord 372,789 392,231 6 -5.0 7 Nissan Altima 269,668 284,762 9 -5.3 13 Chevrolet Malibu 178,253 128,312 26 +38.9 17 Ford Fusion 147,569 149,552 20 -1.3 18 Pontiac G6 140,240 150,001 28 -6.5 Source: http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews...20090105?rpc=44 Granted, it is still far behind in overall sales, but you can see a +50k unit improvement for the Malibu, 37k drop for the Camry, 20k drop for the Accord, and 15k drop for the Altima.
  17. Not really. December sales are generally much higher than November. GM's December sales were 44 percent higher than November.
  18. Buying a used car with less than 10K miles really makes a lot more sense than buying new if you want to save some money. Of course buying new means you can get exactly what you want most of the time and you don't have to worry about whether the car has been abused and whatnot, but a very low-mileage example is a great choice. Case in point: search ebay for "2008 G8 GT" and you will find G8's with less than 15k miles on them for right around $20k. That's a price reduction of $13k on a $33k vehicle just because it has ~10k miles on it.
  19. I don't think you can include the Challenger as "visually captivating" when it's just a retro design...
  20. I'll most likely be going to a bar for an all-you-can-drink-and-eat-for-$35 pre-paid event. Sort of seems like a lot at first, but I plan to get there at 9 and leave at 2AM, so it should be worth it.
  21. I'm not sure what exactly the GTO is worth. Probably $13-14k. I don't drive it much though because I don't want it on campus (vandalism mainly). My dad drives it most of the time now but he likes the G8 a lot. I wouldn't be surprised if he bought an '09 if the deals are really good soon, which seems possible considering they have over 200 days supply of G8s based on something I read a couple days ago.
  22. Haha, I'm not actually getting one; I just thought that was a pretty awesome deal... $13k depreciation in a year or less. That Mustang GT deal is pretty insane, too.
  23. What would be a better purchase than a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT with ~10k miles?
  24. There's absolutely no way Chrysler can compete with BMW. They don't have the money to invest in the products to make them as good as BMWs nor the image to compete in such a price range.
