  1. They look like Mille Miglia's to me, but I'm not certain.
  2. I, for one, will never buy a car from Government Motors. Not even a Corvette. I'll be looking at Porsche's, BMW's, and Audi's. Perhaps a 370Z or the like as well. Mustang's too common.
  3. I wouldn't say going from 12 MPG to 10 MPG is probably a concern for someone in a Lambo... but yes, this thing is retarded.
  4. How much more upscale is this supposed to be than the Cruze? I expect the Cruze to run from $16k-24k or so... the current Astra failed as a Saturn at $18-24k, and I don't see what's so special about the Buick brand that's going to make them be able to sell this at any level above that same $18-24k range as the current Astra. So my question is, what exactly is the point if the Chevy is going to cover the same price range? How many extra sales are they going to get by bringing this vehicle here? Basically my point is they'd be much better served making an affordable Alpha-based vehicle in the $19-30k range and it wouldn't compete with the Cruze. Of course, I can't see many people buying such a vehicle from Buick either, so I guess the best option is at Chevy.
  5. Personally, I haven't cut back much at all... I try to not spend too much on eating out since I can eat the (sometimes crappy) food here at my fraternity house. I saved enough in the summer that I've been able to support myself in terms of food and entertainment this school year. My parents haven't cut back either. They didn't get raises this year but already made good money so they're doing fine. Typically they go out to eat every day for lunch during the weekdays and a couple nights per week besides that for dinner. My dad has been thinking about a G8 GXP but I can't get over trading the GOAT in for one...
  6. But the Cayman handles better and is better looking, IMO. I never cared much for the Boxster's appearance, top up it looks dumb from the back and with the top down it's not a stunner.
  7. Nah, has to be the V8. EDIT: haha guess I was wrong.
  8. Perhaps after reading this you'll think for a second time: Of course, it's from MT, but still sounds amazing. http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/coupes...rive/specs.html
  9. What about a used one of these: It's not a V8, but can you really argue with mid-engine, RWD? Granted, it's a tad expensive perhaps, but you can get a 2007 with 10k or less miles for ~$40k.
  10. Now for a hybrid version that gets 40/40 and is affordable. THAT would sell like hotcakes... look at the Fusion Hybrid.
  11. Well, the Malibu is selling 1/2 of what the Accord is selling, at least last month. If you go back to when the last-gen Malibu was on sale, I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that it didn't even sell 1/3 as well as the Accord.
  12. Those numbers are terrible. Even the Accord at #1 is down from what would have been an average month a couple of years ago. And the Malibu at #10 with only 14k sales shows just how bad car sales are...
  13. 2 GTOs (rare to see even one) 2008 911 Turbo
  14. I don't understand how it would be better to give Buick vehicles that fit in Pontiac's lineup instead of just keeping them as Pontiacs. Two narrowly focused brands will sell better and be more appealing than one more broadly focused brand.
  15. And GM is getting rid of it's best car that's under $35k why? I guess it's too hard to slap a Chevy nose on it. Have to cut costs.
  16. The Z06 weights 3180, regular one weighs 3215, and ZR1 weighs 3325.
  17. Personally, the only wheels I like out of that bunch are the SRT-4 wheels. Both of those DZ designs look rather tacky, the first with those weird things where you put the bolts in ruins the design, otherwise it'd look pretty nice. I think you should make your own decision on the design though, it is your car after all, but I can give you some advice on other things. First, you need to find out the offset of your wheel and bolt pattern. Buying wheels that don't fit the car means you'll just have to resell them. The offset doesn't have to be an exact match, but should be pretty close, otherwise your wheels will stick out from the car or rub against the inside of your wheel well. Bolt pattern does need to be an exact match. Keep in mind that as you go up in tire size cost also increases, so that's something to take into account. Going from 17 to 18 on the GTO didn't affect the ride. In fact, because the tires were so much better the ride actually improved.
  18. If GM was actually smart, they'd reduce themselves to Chevy and Cadillac right now. As soon as gas hits $3 a gallon GMC is going to be useless, and Buick will never be successful having to make sure it doesn't step on Cadillac's toes. Both of those brands are doomed. The only chance GMC has is if gas stays at the level it currently is at and if Buick somehow can essentially be GM's Acura.
  19. So if you bought one of the first SS's then you get these ugly weights on your wheels, but if you wait a while you don't have to deal with them? Why couldn't GM just get it right the first time?
  20. I suppose this is good news, but is it actually doing anything other than prolonging bankruptcy? Unless GM becomes profitable soon, bankruptcy is inevitable and I feel like GM might as well just declare for bankruptcy and start over ASAP rather than continue to borrow money and get nowhere.
  21. I don't recall that getting a premium subscription entailed a bigger avatar, but I could be wrong. I think that you have to change each user's avatar size settings separately, at least how things are set up now.
  22. If you have access to a certain magic key, then yes, it is pozzible! <-------------- see?
  23. How would there not be enough money? If they had to be mid-engine, then yes, they probably would be too expensive. However, I don't see how G8, GTO (updated Zeta), and Solstice (updated Kappa) would be too expensive to develop, it seems like the platforms are basically already there.
  24. Why not just make Pontiac GM's Porsche? Not in price, but product. Solstice, Solstice coupe vs. Cayman and Boxster. GTO/whatever vs. 911. G8 vs. Panamera Screw volume products, that's Chevy's job.
  25. Funny that we would likely be looking at similar cars and we currently drive the same car... I just happen to think the 911 is way overpriced, even as a used vehicle. There's a 2008 black on black Cayman S on ebay right now, no reserve with only 36 hours left in the auction and no bids for $41k (7k miles). MSRP was $67k. Most 911 S models are $25k+ more than the Cayman S.
