  1. Good review, if they could just bring the whole Epsilon line up to this standard. The hope would be that buying in bulk whould allow them to lower the price on the nice, but more expensive components that go into the 9-3. http://detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?A...UTO03/605130303
  2. Was the Sonnett FWD or RWD? Just curious.
  3. Kappa being the next GMT360 platform is fine with me, as long as GM does as good a job with differentiation as they have done with the SKY/Solstice and the Lambdas. A great platform can be used in many places, especially when it is a much a niche platform as this is. Completely different exterior panels, interiors and engine choices and Viola something new lol. All Saab's should be turbo'ed, start with the ecotec from the Cobalt SS, Use the one from the redline and do a 300 hp Aero :-> The Saab Sonnett Aero

    BLS Cadillac

Autoweek review of the BLS. They say "Luckily, we can now report this time GM got it pretty dang right." http://autoweek.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?...E/60406007/1004
  5. I like that a lot. The new Riviera!!
  6. Congratulations (sincerely), nothing like having a great vehicle experience ruined by some thing so minor, but yet so aggravating. Now you can really enjoy your fine vehicle.
  7. Toyota has taken to making claims that are not necessarily true, and then not worrying about the retractions, or so it would seem. GM definitely beat them to the punch with RWD hybrids. I read somewhere that the price of this LS hybrid will be $90k. Cadillac can not hope to compete with them on features by building cars that cost $20k-$30k less.
  8. That is a great job. I especially like the wraparound glass look on the Outlook and the three piece rear glass look on the Enclave. Gives them 2 totally different looks in profile to me. Same with the exhaust, rear glass and rear lamps. To a large degree other than the general shape, it does not look like they share much in common to the casual observer. The Saturn looks very family friendly (Toyota, Honda), while the Enclave looks very upscale (Lexus, BMW, MB). When do we see the production Enclave?
  9. Is that the same roof mechanism as the G6?
  10. The overwhelming winner in the last poll, was "Need to see more pictures." The additional pictures and angles have convinced me that GM hit it's 90% production goal and have a solid hit with the Aura. Of course I reserve final judgement until I see it ad feel it in person.
  11. Interesting new note on the debate: http://www.caranddriver.com/dailyautoinsid...production.html
  12. Build a 2 door and a 4 door model and you will shake up the crossover market. Right now that is why the Caliber is selling like hot cakes, inspite of poor reviews.
  13. While we are all goo gooing over the Sky Redline, the Aura and the Outlook, this canbe huge for Saturn's image. Better gas mileage than the Ford, but with a lower price. Hopefully GM will prove to be right about how to implement a hybrid system.
  14. I think the varied comments mean that GM may be getting it right. That is the power of having multiple brands if done right. Som like the Enclave, some like the Outlook, some will like the Acadia. It is good that we don't all like them the same, because then 2 of them are redundant. Badge engineering can be done, but it must be done right. The vehicles must present different statements to the world, and I think they are doing that well in this case.
  15. That is an awesome engine, and awesome is an understatement!!!! Spread the technology around the engine lines!!! What can the mags say now? I wonder how much the engine costs compared to base.

    BLS Cadillac

http://www.cadillac-bls.com/Default.aspx?l...n&iso=GB&page=8 The European BLS page. Lexus keeps kicking a$$ in the US based on the sales of 2 FWD models (ES and RX), and there is no doubt that they ae seen as a luxury car maker. The majority of driver do not know fwd from a hole in the ground. But they do know if they like an interior and they have their perceptions about quality! These are not meant to be sports cars, but nice riding entry lux. That is where the bulk of the sales are going to be. 620 miles to the tank with the 150 hp diesel engine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. Should be interesting, I can't wait. This and the Aura will decide Saturn's fate. Follow them up with a nice Ion and voila, Saturn if hot again!!!!!!
  18. Damn good eye!!!!! Is is just me, or does it seem like there is not enough room for the marker to fit between the wheel opening and the front of the hood? Night be the angle, but that area looks shorter on the red one. I also see what you mean about the wheel flair, but that could be the angle.
  19. While I don't doubt you, that would be a stupid move by GM. For the average driver, the tide has turned from more hp is cool to more mpg is cool. For every I got to have 300 hp person out there, there are 10 I have got to have 30 mpg people. They are willing to sacrifice performance, so long as they get the MPG. That is the current paradigm.
  20. Sweet. I will leave it to the keen eyes here to tell us if they see anything different. But from the photos I don't see anything at least externally.
  21. So I have been digesting and revisiting this picture the last couple of days. Trying not to make a snap judgement. While I will reserve final judgement until I see one in person, I would give GM a solid B+ or A- for execution. I think it will fair quite well in the world in which it will play. I think the wider chrome strip was to follow the Ford 3 bar grill, which I think is following the 300C. That part I am not thrilled with, but it is acceptable to me. The Aura must have a 4 cylinder, if gas prices continue, the Corvette may need one (just kidding, but you get my point). Add in a hogher level V6 and I think you have a great car lineup.
  22. So now I am admitedly confused. Is this the same 3.6l out of the CTS? You would rather the Aura show up with a 255 hp engine, than move to the 270 hp engine? Or is the Saturn up model going to be available with more power than the CTS or V6 STS? If you have read my posts in the Aura 6 sp forum, you already know I have an issue with some non luxury model getting something new and great before the Cadillacs.
  23. What platform is the Statesman on? There is an article in the same paper that shows the new Statesman and how they are going to differentiate it and the Commodore. Is the Statesman a Sigma? http://www.drive.com.au/editorial/article.aspx?id=11335
  24. Hmmm that is great, and I am glad to hear it. That still leaves us with a DTS issue, not to even mention the Lexus of GM (Buick). The DTS will be fighting with 4 gears tied behind it's back. Standard of the World, heck Cadillac has problems being the standard of GM But in all seriousness that is awesome news for the Aura and it deserves it, it just points out some of the issues across the rest of the line and how they have continuous product planning cycles with so many brands.
