  1. See, I didn't think it was mine... it didn't say "3300" on it :AH-HA_wink:
  2. Yes.As for the trunk... I plan on doing it during a dry, sunny weekend day. It's unfortunate that I live in an apartment complex, because I don't feel comfortable just leaving my trunk open with the carpet drying outside. I will take it to a friend's house and do that.
  3. Thanks ocn... I'm going to do that. I don't know where the water is coming from because the ENTIRE trunk, every inch, is soaking wet... so it's not like any particular area is showing a leak. The condensation is high from the excessive water. I don't believe the tire is standing in water, but it is wet under the carpeting. I don't know of any holes under the car.I'm assuming it's seals... since inside the car I'm starting to get a drop here and there when it rains and I'm driving.

  5. Okay, so this is not a new thing, but I have mentioned to my brother that I have a leak in my trunk. It's not just a leak... everything is SOAKED! For example, if I put a plastic shopping bag in the trunk, take it out an hour later, the entire bag would be soaked and the contents inside would be damp/wet as well. And this is when it hasn't rained in days too. He said he's never seen anything that bad. Even in the summer it's like this. Again, it's not a little water, it's every inch of the trunk. Now, I'm not really concerned with it since I'll probably get rid of the car in a year. Here ya go: I'm not exactly sure why he took pictures of my engine compartment, but here's the 3300:
  6. Did your friend smoke up before watching that?
  7. Although the V6 Sonata drives nice, I HATE the looks inside and out.
  8. Alright, it's sounding like I'll be looking for a Lucerne CXL V8 (CPO of course), or a Malibu LTZ V6. Will have to test drive them all before making a choice though. I guess I'll repost after I make the test drives in a few months.
  9. Only Randy I know was my cute Doctor... damn shame he did the whole hetero thing. :AH-HA_wink:
  10. You have a good point there... you have no idea how big a shock it was when I replaced the original front struts of my car... every bump was magnified like 10 times!
  11. Am I the only one who thought his comment at the end was intended to be sexual? "We're good! Let's go pitch a tent!" ... or am I just feelin' a bit randy? LOL
  12. I completely agree... however, isn't that going to step on DTS territory? Unless they bring the DTS higher upscale...
  13. Oh, I'm not making a decision now... I'm just thinking out loud. I would absolutely test drive all vehicles before I make my decision. I can proudly say there won't be a Toyota on the list when I go scouting :AH-HA_wink:
  14. So far the Malibu is winning in the pole! I still look at the Lucerne on the road and love its presence. It, to me, is a classy car.
  15. I think that'd be a nice Buick.
  16. Well, I'll be honest, I had no idea the Lucerne with a V8 would be so affordable after a few miles on it, so that throws things into a new perspective. I'd love to have the Northstar... I'd take a CXL V8 or CXS over the other choices listed any day.

  18. Damn Fly, I didn't think they'd be that cheap! For me a Lucerne CXL V8 or CXS would have been ideal, but I just naturally assumed they'd be over 30,000 and I couldn't afford them.
  19. How much do you think I could shave off a CXS Fly? It'd be nice to get one for just under 25.
  20. My 3300 is fairly loud at idle.. has an odd hum to it. It's fairly quiet cruising at like 40-60. After that it quickly gets noisy.
  21. HATE it. Damn, forgot about the Milan! Altima I think is fugly.
  22. Here's the situation: Recently my catalytic converter started to go. It's made me start thinking... the car is 15 years old, runs VERY well, but there are a million and one "little" things wrong with it, and the body isn't in the best shape--the paint job is HORRIBLE, and there are some signs of rust in the wheel wells as well as around the door frames. The interior gets wet when it rains because seals are going, and the dash is cracked in half from when my radio was ripped out. The fuel gauge isn't accurate, the transmission gauge isn't either (not that it matters, you know what gear you're in by how many clicks you shift the stalk). Things in the trunk get wet and stay wet for some unknown reason (even when it hasn't rained in a long while). I really should get a new car. I won't be in the market for a car until spring/summer 2008. I love a quiet, boulevard cruiser, but there are many times when I want to rev the engine a little and feel some power (not looking for a sportscar, but don't want to slosh all over the damn road). I want to spend about 25,000. I need legroom because I'm tall, and I want an auto. Fuel economy is kind-of a moot point since my commute is VERY short now. Here is what I'm considering: 2008 Malibu LTZ V6 - LOVE the look of the new Malibu as well as the powertrain offerings. 2008 Aura XR - Love the look of the Aura. HATE the wheels the XR has. I haven't test-driven one, but I believe the Aura would be fairly quiet, but have the power/handling I might enjoy. 2008 LaCrosse CXS - The "sportiest" LaCrosse. I'll be honest... turned off by the weaker version of the 3.6, the 4-speed auto, but it's a Buick. And you know how I feel about Buicks... 2008 Lucerne CXL - This would be my boulevard cruiser--but it lacks the power I would want for some fun, and it's pushing the price past my limit. 2008 Accord LX V6 - Don't hate me, but I LOVE the interior of the current Accord, and I'm thinking I might like the new one providing it doesn't have the interior of the Civic. Need to see the production version of the car. I have found my friend's 2002 Accord EX V6 silky smooth and fairly quiet after 53,000 miles to date. Any other suggestions? I'd even consider a 9-3, but with a few options, the price quickly gets up to and over $30,000. At this point, I'd like to avoid getting a used car. I've never owned a new car, and I would really like one.
  23. I wonder if they're scratch and sniff?
  24. Til it's either dead or near it. I might just be able to get a new car before the Century craps out for good.
  25. Wow... was wondering if this was going to happen (not the autoshow event, just if someone was going to protest the Tundra).
