  1. I'm not much of a truck guy, but I've always liked the looks of the '73-87..esp. the early ones ('73-75?) with the deep-set grille treatment. But I'm more of an SUV fan, so I'd have to have a '73 Suburban with the barn doors, upgraded with an LS6 454
  2. I like the styling overall..definitely evolutionary. I like the Chevy front end but the GMC fenders (the Chevy fenders remind me to much of the Colorado). The GMC front end reminds a lot of the F150.
  3. I doubt if very many 'serious off roaders' would want a 6000lb, 20-ft long truck.
  4. There was a recall a few years ago IIRC on Dakotas and Durangos where the ball joints could fail and the wheels could fall off..
  5. I wouldn't consider 23-26 mpg a 'gas hog'..that's great mileage for a largish car.
  6. Some of the worst (arrogant, cutting in-and-out of traffic, etc) I've seen around here are drivers of late model Dodge Ram and Ford Super Duty pickups.. darn right-wingers.. (they inevitably seem to have their W04, NRA, or 'Real Men Love Jesus' stickers..) Alos, there seem to a lot of accident-prone Kia,Hyundai, and Daewoo drivers...I see alot of (esp. the smaller models) them driving around with dented panels, broken lights/bumpers, etc..
  7. Ummm..cause it's not 1976?
  8. I don't think it's a modified Aura..probably has some parts in common--windshield, front doors, but the rear quarters are shaped differently, as are the back doors and C-pillar.
  9. Yeah, white bumpers don't work well on a police vehicle..they need some custom rectangular, flat diamond-tread black bumpers..something solid for smashing into things..
  10. Ahh..rather Jetta-like rear door upper treatment.
  11. I'm wondering how the rear doors and C-pillar are going to look..is it going to be similar to the Aura or will there be a small window in the pillar like the Impala..
  12. That's the way I'm seeing it..the A-pillars, windshield, doors, mirrors, door handles, all look very similar to the Aura.. It's definitely a FWD Epsy... looks good, definitely an improvement over the current model.
  13. A guy I used to work with called my Mustang a Supra the first time he saw it...(I guess a late-80s Mustang hatchback vaguely resembles a mid-80s Supra). I was driving my mom's '68 Cougar once in Ohio, and when I came out of a convenience store, a teenager said 'nice Camaro!'.
  14. You can probably take a drill with a large bit and make your own..
  15. I think I've only had 2 recalls on mine in 6 years.... it's been very reliable so far..
  16. Hehheh..this reminds me, I always buy TP in 24-, 36- or 48- packs..you can never have too much TP.
  17. I always avoid parking near beaters..I figure the people that drive them are types that will key your car, door ding you, back into your car and then drive off..
  18. Interesting..I guess I'll be getting a recall notice in the mail soon?
  19. Sounds like another incoherent troll..I wonder when he will be banned from the site?
  20. You may want to learn to spell before posting here..
  21. The Hyundai Sonata is a 4dr sedan, not an SUV.
  22. 147 in a Sonata.. riiiight. Speaking of going fast, my Mustang's speedo only goes to 85, so I don't know how fast I've had it ('87 GT)....I've had my Grand Cherokee up to 95 (really wouldn't want to go much faster in an SUV), but I did see 140 once in my M3 (at night on an open stretch of 75-mph freeway).
  23. I've yet to master chopsticks..I've tried them, but find them awkward and too slow to eat with. That said, I love a variety of Asian cuisine...Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Japanese (incl. sushi), Korean, and a wide range of Indian cuisine..I love ultra-spicy Thai, Indian, and Sri Lankan, but it sometimes doesn't like me (I can get spontaneous diaroehea from ultra-spicy vindaloos..so I down 4-6 Immodium tablets before and after eating..)
  24. I don't really consciously do anything different--I try and be professional and courteous towards other drivers, though I will let a fellow Jeep, BMW or Mustang driver in front of me (when merging in a construction zone, side street, etc) before I would let other drivers in...
  25. However, GM built a concept vehicle, but Toyota built a practical real-world production car...GM didn't..
