  1. Nor can you, you always post something negative whenever EVs are mentioned, for example.
  2. denim
  3. Interesting... I'll have to look at my sister's '06 STS, don't recall seeing something like that. I remember seeing a strange little vent of some sort similar to that to the right side of the center stack on family Ford products--Rangers and Explorers. Always wondered what that was for. A vent for the airbag (which had a separate cover on 90s models?)
  4. Yes, that's it..it's out of production since last year..was only around for 3 model years. I think I've seen one at an auto show, but don't recall seeing one out in the wild...was built in the UK.
  5. With the GP, I really liked the roofline of the '97-03 and front and rear...the replacement was too slab sided, iMO...
  6. I've had one of the current Malibus as a rental, back in '16. It was ok. Thought the styling was a bit busy, esp. the front and side contouring...I find the previous generation to be better looking, IMO.
  7. Continuing watching 80s movies the last 3 nights...3 w/ Eddie Murphy--48HRs, Beverly Hills Cop I and II...funny and lots of neat 80s cars and car chases. Love the music in BH I and II...
  8. I haven't had to go into any retail stores since February. Doing home delivery from local groceries directly and via Instacart, heavy use of Amazon Prime, and Home Depot home delivery. Had to make a couple trips to my local Ace Hardware for curbside pickup of mulch, etc. (mulch is unobtainium right now from them, though). Made a few trips to the Post Office to drop off shipments for my sister and to the UPS Store. I'll probably venture out next week to the BMV to get a new driver's license, mine expires on my birthday (the 28th)--was only a 3 yr license when I moved here, unlike the 30 year license I had in Arizona..
  9. I think that is the Infiniti that shares a platform w/ the Mercedes GLA.
  10. Went out twice today...came up to a stoplight and a sweet dark blue '69/70 Grand Prix rumbied up behind me. No vinyl top, red pin striping. I've seen this car in traffic from a distance before, but never relatively close...
  11. Saw these on FB...funny to compare the size differences in GM trucks between 30 years ago and today.
  12. Speaking of Chevy LUVs, I recently picked up the reissue of the Monogram Chevy LUV model kit for my collection...it doesn't build stock, but as a '70s style street machine w/ an SBC...
  13. Wish I still had my Dad’s ‘84 Escort diesel. That would probably be the only one to show up at a show.
  14. I love the Radwood scene..the era of cars I grew up with. I’d like to take my 5.0 Mustang to such a show eventually... Great weather today, not too warm. Spent very little time on the computer, grilled some brats, had some brewskis, planted some box woods and azaleas. Really enjoying digging in dirt, getting my hands dirty, working in my lawn...really am becoming my father.. Got my new cell phone yesterday, got it set up pretty quickly. Verizon and iPhones, pretty seamless to update from one to another.
  15. Been out twice so far this month...post office last Wed and bank drive thru this morning. Saw nothing interesting. Nice weather this morning, though.
  16. I wish I had a motorhome...a week or so in a state or national park would be great. Growing up w/ RVs was a lot of fun.
  17. They didn't have color back then, only shades of gray in the ancient world... <j/k> Yeah... i do wonder how some of our past members are doing and where they are today..like Drew, our MIA leader...
  18. Used them because they were built locally? Saint Bruno, Quebec http://www.oldcarscanada.com/2011/08/1966-renault-8.html
  19. Speaking of Big hair and ladies in the Big 80s, enjoying some Expose this evening..
  20. The problem w/ driving anywhere right now are bathrooms..public ones at parks etc are closed. With the nice weather, I do want to go up the coast to some of my favorite beaches, lighthouses, etc.
  21. Haven't done a road trip in a while, but I in the previous reality, I'd stop every 100 miles or so for a bio break. I'd take a cooler w/ bottles of water. Stop for coffee at McDonalds or Dunkin in the morning.
  22. Binge-watched the new Netflix Steve Carell comedy Space Force last night...pretty funny.
  23. I saw a couple of Mechatronik's cars on display at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale a few years ago, they look well-built and well detailed...very pricy but very neat also. Similarly, I love the resto mod Singer Porsches..
  24. Merc = Mercedes. For a classic Mercury, I'd want a Ford powertrain, of course. If I had the garage space, wouldn't mind something like this for summer weekend 'tooling around' (as my Dad used to say)...
  25. For a vintage Mercedes resto, I'd rather go the Mechatronik route. Vintage car updated w/ modern Mercedes hardware.
