First trip out this month today, had to go to the vet to pick up some prescription refills. Traffic very light, beautiful sunny day. Did see a clean black w/ black top mid '90s Cadillac Brougham in the vet parking lot.

The 7 series interior really hasn't changed since this generation came out for 2016, until 2020 when updates to the interior include a new 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen -
I think that's a '60s German Ford Taunus...

What the holy fuck do taxi cabs in Greece have to do with anything????? Priuses are taxi cabs in the US. Stop it with the long winded tedious drivel and focus on the subject of the thread... -
The CLA seems redundant with the A-class sedan, since they are essentially the same thing. The C-class at least is RWD.

The AMG E-class is a performance luxury vehicle.. same idea as the CTS-v was. -
2020 Cadillac CT5 Sport showroom impression and pictures
Robert Hall replied to regfootball's topic in Reader Reviews
That looks like the trim and spec of one I sat in at the auto show (seems like so long ago now). I didn't care for the dreary charcoal interior and vile CF trim. A light tan interior w/ some wood would be way more appealing to me. -

Anyway, trying to get back on topic and away from all the rambling TL;DR nonsense, the new Genesis looks like a nice entry in the premium sedan market..will be interesting to see how it does if the car market comes back eventually.. -

Trucks are just trucks, though...no matter how fancy they are inside. That may be the dumbest thing I've read in a while...the E has lower trims and higher trims. -

You miss a fundamental point---price tag doesn't equate to luxury. There are plenty of expensive vehicles that aren't luxury vehicles. -
The rear wing is way too narrow though.

Non sequitor, your comparisons hold no water. Apples and oranges. That there are pickups that have similar prices to MB luxury models means nothing, there are Peterbilt, Kenworth, etc trucks that are more expensive. Or RVs. Or Corvettes. Many vehicles are in the same price bracket that aren’t competitors. I thought this was a Genesis thread. Seems to have really gone off the rails. -
That kinds of sounds like how parts of the US were in olden days as a 'normal' Sunday.

My Jeep needs an oil change, but I probably haven't driven it more than 100 miles since the end of January, the Trax I drove back from Florida at the end of January, and to a couple doctor's trips here w/ my sister (with her broken foot, she really can't easily get in and out of the Jeep). The STS hasn't been out of the garage since January, but I start it every couple of weeks.

Did the pharmacy run yesterday (drive through only) and will make a vet run Monday to get a refill of meds.

My Flex on a perfect sunny day (flaws and all)
Robert Hall replied to surreal1272's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
Your Flex looks great. Interesting about the spare...I can't recall if my Jeep has a normal full size 20 inch spare tire/wheel or something smaller (they also came w/ 17" inch wheels in '14). I recall checking the spare when on the lot before I bought it, but don't recall what's there...huge well under the rear cargo floor. -
Had to go out today, got gas and it was $1.39 for regular. $10 filled up the Trax. Funny thing is the sign at the gas station said .39 on one side and 1.39 on the other side... beautiful sunny day, no traffic.

Hopefully will get some decent weather this weekend to do a bit of yard work in the back. Got a shipment from Home Depot yesterday of top soil, mulch, grass seed, etc to start the season. Had my wheelbarrow out..felt real.

I assume it was a marketing move to give Aurora it's own identity. Oldsmobile (like Buick) was too associated with an older, conservative demographic. The Aurora looked pretty radical compared to the dowdy 88 and 98 of the era. -
My brother would do that to a Ferrari... he's covered his 740i w/ PepBoys/JCWhitney cheese...

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
Robert Hall replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
I've noticed that with both of the older Cadillacs I've been around..the '00 DTS and '06 STS...I have to jump the STS if it sits too long (I start it every two weeks). -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
Robert Hall replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Do EVs have a normal car battery for non-propulsion functions (security camera, radio, power locks, etc?). Seems like the accessories would be separate from the EV motor and its batteries... -
Yes, I miss the little normal things. WFH full time, I enjoyed going out for dinner or breakfast. Or going downtown to some of the brewpubs, esp. once the weather gets nicer..sitting outside on the Cuyahoga River watching the huge cargo ships go by... or going to the beach.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
Robert Hall replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Something about the last post triggered a thought...do batteries in EVs retain their charge for a sufficient period? i.e. if you charge up a Tesla or other EV to 90% or whatever the recommended maximum is, then leave it parked for a week, two weeks, a month, does it lose range and charge?
