  1. ^ maybe enough legroom, but would probably need 6 inches more headroom for you to fit comfortably? ?
  2. Looking forward to the reveal...looks slick...love the fastback roofline and sharp creases.
  3. Not a BK fan... I don't eat burgers that often, but I do like a McD's Quarter Pounder w/ cheese and bacon. I miss In n' Out and Habit Burger from living in AZ. Not eating nearly as much red meat as I once did, but I did have great steak from Morton's on Sunday.
  4. Scheduled to get my 2nd Pfizer booster on Friday.
  5. Looking good for 8 yrs old, 65k miles. Washed, waxed, interior cleaned and detailed, summer mats in.
  6. Been cleaning out my Jeep today, all the stuff in there from 5 months of mud farming...heavy tow rope, string trimmer, shop vac, all sorts of tools, 200 feet of extension cord, flash lights, lanterns, etc. So grubby...taking it to the local fancy car wash for wash, wax and interior detailing this afternoon... Hope to get back to the normal 50-100 miles per week instead of almost 1000 per week...
  7. Yep. It went in two parcels—-like 27 acres with the house and buildings and 98 acres or so for the rest of the land. Exceeded the estimates.
  8. Everything sold I believe, except an old bicycle and a box of misc junk…
  9. For laughs, how about this new decoration for my Jeep. My sister took a cutting of our Mom’s Rhodedendron (was planted over 50 years ago).
  10. Glad you were able to buy that bike, @Drew Dowdell…great to finally meet you after knowing you here for like 17-18 years. Had a good auction today. Very emotional day for my sister and I. I have a sense of closure and relief now that it is over.
  11. @Davidall those food pics look delicious. Makes me hungry. Alas, I was busy on the 4th and had to settle for a Dairy Queen chili dog on the 4th…
  12. Thanks..looking forward to getting back to some sort of normalcy. Here is a pic of Lucy and I about 3 years ago at the Cleveland Symphony. We joke about being twins, though we are 13 years apart..very similar personalities and tastes, both in technology. Our birthdays always fall on the same day of the week, 3 weeks apart.
  13. My '14 JGC Limited hit 65k yesterday. Was at the dealer this morning getting the computer flashed so the the trailer wiring will work. Apparently, FCA didn't enable trailer wiring w/ the factory towing package from the factory...not sure why, maybe because so few people actually *tow*? Another few days of trips to the mud farm, so probably another 1000 miles over the next week. To celebrate the end of this drama, I plan to take it to my local detailer next week for a thorough cleaning, wax, and interior clean and detailing. Also plan later this month to go get side steps installed (my 5' 2" sister hates how high it sits) and some sheepskin seat covers...leather in summer is no bueno...
  14. Saw a bright yellow Ferrari F8 Tributo and bright yellow Corvette C8 about a mile apart today. Saw a clean red ‘66 Mustang convertible in a parking lot, top down. Saw a new white Shelby GT500 alone in an empty parking lot. Saw a gorgeous red ‘70 Mustang Mach 1 at an intersection, healthy rumble as it drove away…
  15. Saw a rat-rod style (faded blue paint w/ patina and rust, lowered, big red steel wheels) '62 Ford full size station wagon today...the lack of woodgrain told me it wasn't a Country Squire, probably a lower trim level like a Country Sedan or Ranch Wagon. Saw a gorgeous brown w/ tan interior C8 Corvette convertible...love that color.. Saw a clean gold w/ black top '70 Malibu 2dr. Saw a white '75-77 Camaro w/ black hood stripe, black rear spoiler in decent, restorable condition. Saw a white late 70s Plymouth Volare Road Runner coupe in white w/ a black rear spoiler.. solid condition. Saw a clean slightly modified white '87-93 Mustang GT for sale.
  16. From March 2020 through Jan of this year, I drove very little w/ the COVID hibernation and working from home...did.like 1250 miles in all of 2020 and maybe 5000 last year. But this year i've been driving 180-200 mile round trips 4-5 times a week since Feb--almost 10,000 miles added since Feb (9653 as of today). My 3.6 Grand Cherokee gets a respectable 23-25 mpg in mixed freeway and rural backroad driving... after next Saturday, I should go back to a more normal 10-50 miles per week...
  17. Random thoughts related to recent posts.. Had my first $100 fillup this week...yay. Usually have 2-3 $80-90 fillups most weeks lately. Those Ford door keypads are neat..several of my folks '80s-90s Fords and Lincolns had them. None of my 80s Fords had them, though. I could see them very useful for when I go to the beach..I always have to make sure to take out my keys and put them in my beach chair pocket before going in the water.. As far as cupholders, everything I've had made since '00 has had cupholders, and I've used aftermarket ones in older vehicles. I never leave home without bottled water, so a cupholder is essential...and for coffee in the morning.
  18. Slick..the rear reminds me of an older 911 from some angles..
  19. I was listening to the Wheel Bearings podcast on the commute to the mud farm this morning and there was discussion of the Lyriq, and quite a bit of discussion of the lack of a frunk. General consensus was due to the packaging there wasn't room for a useful frunk...various dirty bits related to the EV stuff that could have been in the rear were moved to the front to provide more cargo space in the rear, according to a GM engineer on the podcast. Also implied that there was room in the frunk for a larger electric motor (probably for a future V-series performance version?).
  20. Hummer EV (and Silverado EV) are much bigger and truckular...so they have a lot more space underneath for the dirty bits. The Lyriq isn't a high riding 4x4, so it has to use space for the electric motor(s), power brake system, HVAC, radiator, etc under the hood...
  21. Different companies, different approaches to EV platforms...
  22. I guess for packaging reasons they couldn't have a frunk but had to put powertrain thingys there...
  23. Today is about absolutely perfect...74 and sunny...same tomorrow for my birthday, then back in the 90s. I should go to the beach this evening.
  24. Also saw yesterday a really clean '88-89 Chevy C1500 regular cab long bed pickup, red w/ white sections down the sides...red interior. Pretty sure on the year as those were the years they had the tiny rectangular headlights.. Just like this one...beautiful truck...always liked that generation.
  25. Auction on July 9th. The property, my brother's cars, motorcycles, ATVs, tractor, furniture, tools, etc. Everything goes...
