Bid on Tony Soprano's '99 Suburban
Actually, it was just leased by HBO.. anyway, this one (or another one just like it) was on ebay previously, maybe 3 years ago or so...

Next-gen B-Class coming to US
Yes, there is a second gen A-class out in Europe...3dr or 5dr. I think that ' A Car for Every Purse and Purpose' is definitely M-B's vision...they have possibly the widest range of vehicles under one brand in the world---cargo vans, airport shuttles, buses, coaches, heavy trucks, small cars, luxury cars, etc...

Anyone live near San Jose California?
Wouldn't you need to be licensed by the jurisdiction as a landscaper to do it there?

Last Olds with a manual?
How about the last manual shift Buick?

Last Olds with a manual?
Funny you mention that...I saw a 4dr 2nd gen ('94-?) S Blazer or Jimmy with a stick yesterday.... it was in a parking lot, the passenger door was open and I was about 20 feet away and could clearly see a stick shift on the center console...thought it was odd to see one of those w/ a manual.

Seen any hot cars?
They sound incredible..the first time I heard one was probably my most memorable Ferrari sighting...a beautiful, sunny spring day in Milan, walking down the street in front of the La Scala opera house...gray F430 drives down the street, that magnificent exhaust note reverberating off ancient stone walls... La Dolce Vita. One of the high points of that vacation...

Seen any hot cars?
At lunch today, I saw a black XLR at the office next to mine, a black CTS-v, a dark blue Acadia, a flat purple '90s Dodge Ram, and a goregous white F430 Spyder..

CR-V Passes the Once-Dominant Explorer
Yes, the Eagle is the predecessor of such cars as the Subaru Outback and Volvo XC70... I thought it was neat that they had several bodystyles also--wagon, sedan, coupe, a couple different 2dr hatchbacks.

2008 Chrysler 300 Refresh
More practical... covered cupholders aren't as useful as open ones...(i.e. it's hard to open a covered/retractable one and insert a beverage container w/ one hand in one motion..)

Grand Prix: Pontiac's Luxury Performance Car (An Enthusiast's Reference)
A friend of mine has wanted a '69-72 GP since he was a kid... I think he's going to start looking for one in the next year or so, since his 40th birthday is coming up in '09. Interesting, since as far as I know, he's never owned an American car... (he currently has an '02 Maxima SE and a '91 Acura NSX).

What Are You Listening To?
I'm listening to my usual news podcasts today at work (3 different BBC programs, CNN, NPR, Rick Steeves travel) and also the new Velvet Revolver CD 'Libertad' and Bryan Ferry's new CD 'Dylanesque'...

What Are You Listening To?
Great song.. I went and saw the Moodies in January..they are incredible in concert (even though they are all north of 60 now).

Maserati turns first profit in 17 years
uhhhh..no. The QP's proportions are purely RWD...

CR-V Passes the Once-Dominant Explorer
SUVs/crossovers are the station wagons of today... and many of them are heavier than the wagons of the '70s. SUVs and crossovers are basically just a repackaging of the old station wagon concept but with taller bodies and more ground clearance.

1985 Diesel Caprice coupe
The faux brushed aluminum trim on the radio, etc in the Caprice reminds me of a home stereo I had in the '80s...
-
1985 Diesel Caprice coupe
My favorite of the '80s Caprices was the '86...had the restyled grille and taillights, but normal headlights (I didn't care for the composite lights). '86 was the last 2dr also, IIRC.

2008 Chrysler 300 Refresh
I've driven and ridden in a few...the only issue I've noticed is that the thick pillars + small side and rear windows (esp. on the Magnum) leads to poor outward visibility..

2008 Chrysler 300 Refresh
Very subtle changes..I wonder what the front fascia change looks like.. Not sure if I like the 3rd brakelight in the decklid...having it in the rear shelf is cleaner looking, IMHO.

Coming home from Europe almost a week early...
Ah yeah... using freq. flyer tickets (domestically or abroad) is always a pain.... I've managed to get 4 'free' flights back and forth from the US to London in the past with FF tickets.

Coming home from Europe almost a week early...
Wow...6 segments. My last trip to Italy I came back in 3 segments. Milan to London, London to Phoenix, Phoenix to Denver.

1985 Diesel Caprice coupe
Wow..very clean. No diesel badging that I could see from the pics. I've always liked that style of Caprice..hopefully it doesn't end up as a lowrider or donk.
