Classic Limousine Service - by C&G
Well, the idea was to build a fleet of these old beasts. I don't have the money/time to do this right now anyway, this is mostly just open dreaming. I would have taken you up on the Lincoln though. Edit: It's what I plan to do in a few years once I'm back from Germany.

Classic Limousine Service - by C&G
Rules: 1. Must be $60k or less. 2. Must be "unique" in some way without being tacky. i.e. no Towncars turned into Bentleys, no 300c given "jet doors". 3. B-Bodies acceptable for routine service if cheap and in great shape. 4. Older than 1990 preferred unless very unique or of an interesting premium brand. 1937 Buick 90 Limousine 1965 Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine 1969 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow with Chevy 350 1954 Packard Limo

GM Europe decides to downsize future Saabs
I'm going to start a thread called "SMK being blatantly wrong or maliciously deceptive" and start moving your posts in there. Saab Aero 2.8 turbo has 280hp and 295 ft/lbs of torque compared to the Camry V6 that gets 268 hp and 248 ft/lbs of torque while having to lug around 400 more lbs. The 9-5 Aero has 8 less horsepower than the Camry but it has 10 more ft/lbs of torque in a 4-cylinder at an absurdly low 1900rpm. The Camry's peak torque hits at 4700 rpm.

Burgess: Lucerne Super, same as it ever was
We don't care. The Super is not about being the fastest. It never was and never will be. The Super gets you from point a to point b at a brisk pace silently, smoothly, and handsomely. Super's motto is, "It's not how fast you get there, but how good the going is." No Super owner is going to be drag racing someone who feels inadequate in their Accord.

This thread is about the Super.

Burgess: Lucerne Super, same as it ever was
I understand, I'm favoring ultimate comfort over all else.

Burgess: Lucerne Super, same as it ever was
Not as quiet, not as smooth, not as roomy, not as ergonomic

Burgess: Lucerne Super, same as it ever was
I can't think of a modern, reasonably priced car, that I'd rather take a long road trip in over the Lucerne.

Cadillac confirms CTS coupe for UK at London show
When you've done something before, you know how to do it again. E90s are not clean sheet designs.

Cadillac confirms CTS coupe for UK at London show
Sunday morning... it's beautiful out. Perfect time for an pwning. The previous 3-Series was on the E46 starting for the 1998 model year. The coupe and wagon followed a year later and the M another year after that. Total years for the E46 in production was 1998 - 2006. 8 years on a single platform. The basic body shells of sedan, coupe, convertible, and wagon were already available for BMW to work with when they started the E90 program. This is what Balthy is pointing out. The previous CTS began in 2002 and lasted till 2007 as just a sedan on the Sigma platform. In 2008, the CTS moved to the improved and enlarged Sigma II platform that was based on the already improved STS variant of Sigma I. Two years after the introduction of the sedan, brand new coupe and wagon variants will be introduced. Cadillac had no prior shells to base these on and had to develop them from scratch. So, Balthy is right, Cadillac is currently moving faster than BMW in it's platform development.

I would hope, for his sake, that it's grown a bit since then.

The strange things that end up in Germany
As much as we'd like to, we really can't blame that on Germany.

A little oil poll....
Mobil 1 and you can realistically double your oil change interval.

something i saw
If it's a light hurricane season, inventories will be much greater than expected and the market is likely to over react in the downward direction.

something i saw
I'm sure that is only if the dollar returns to 2005 levels. Watch the dollar it's movement is inverse to the price of oil.

GM Europe decides to downsize future Saabs
Come on now.... you know quite well that a 9-3 isn't meant to go up against those three. The 9-3 will go up against the S40, 159, and 407. Cadillac will have the BTS go up up against the German three.

I hate to break it to you SMK, but we in Pittsburgh don't usually get the first of the hot launch cars.
