  1. Interior looks stunning... exterior is evolutionary and kinda blah, doesn't scream premium like the others...... the steering wheel doesn't match the look of the rest of the interior. overall, B+
  2. Holden's VE Commodore E-Series Gets to 60 in Under 5 Seconds MELBOURNE, Australia — Australia's Holden Special Vehicles has launched an E-Series performance sedan lineup based on the GM unit's freshly introduced VE Commodore. With a 0-62-mph time under five seconds, they are claimed to be the fastest Australia-made cars ever. The new HSV range includes Clubsport R8, GTS and Senator Signature models. All have been completely styled, modeled and engineered in-house by HSV. They feature aggressive body kits, spoilers and new, repositioned curved LED taillights. The change required a unique fascia and rear bumper assembly. The three-model range, with prices beginning at the U.S. equivalent of $48,000 for the Clubsport R8 and topping out at the equivalent $58,700 for the Senator Signature, is powered by a mildly modified version of the 6.0-liter LS2 V8 used in the previous series. Exhaust extractors increase power to 412 horsepower, and torque has been boosted to 406 pound-feet at 4400 rpm. All models are available with a six-speed automatic transmission; a six-speed manual is offered on the Clubsport R8 and the GTS. All have the latest Bosch ABS, traction control and electronic stability control, while the GTS and the Senator Signature also get magnetic ride control, which automatically adjusts suspension stiffness for improved cornering grip and handling. Road wheels are 19- or 20-inch alloys paired with a unique range of Bridgestone tires. What this means to you: Hot cars are always good news, anywhere in the world they occur.

  5. He didn't ask the question which is the best selling car with the minimal amount of changes.... he asked which was the best selling nameplate. And yes... the most nameplates sold say Corolla
  6. 1966 Cadillac
  7. 1928 Pierce-Arrow
  8. you've never visited Pittsburgh apparently...
  9. The riv that came out with the Toronado was RWD.
  10. This is better "breathing room" for GM than Toyota raising prices. Gives the 900's a head start. Puts the new Sienna out to 2010 or 11... at which time the Lambda vans should be out. Puts the new Avalon out to 2010 or 11... at which time the Zeta Lucurne should be out. Even the reported delaying of the Corolla could prove to be a boon for GM. Cobalts MCE is coming up soon, no?
  11. no, they need it for nascar what, you'd want to see a bunch of camries on the track? pffft!
  12. Mmm.... CTS-D
  13. the copper cooled engine....
  14. seriously.... there are other auto makers that are closer to death right now <I can think of at least 3> than GM. further more, GM is reawakening..... yea it was the sleeping giant, but now it's wiping the sand from it's eyes...
  15. Glad that you like it! I was under the impression that the non-auto up rear windows are to prevent pinching little fingers.
  16. just remember... we all care.....
  17. But ammortized over a 60 month finance, that's almost another $1.60 a month plus interest!!@#!!@!!!!
  18. Care to share more about what you're considering? Ever see that old show Herman's head... where there were 4 personalities inside? Treat C&G like that.... except there will be 67 personalities.... plus one CD that keeps skipping and saying "Rear wheel drive hardtop" over and over into Dats..... uh... Infinity.
  19. You should see if you can get a segment on
  20. Ever? Corolla
  21. uhm... Isn't all that just the badge engineering you claim to dispise? Changing the name from Pontiac to Buick will NOT make it a porsche. Secondly, the Saturn Sky is around. Third, the Solstice and Sky are an American Miata... or American Z3. Talk about diluting the brand, have you seen the uproar about Jeep's Compass? Putting the H4 on the Theta platform would be a disaster. Vibe should just die at this point, the HHR is a better package. The G6 in it's current form is not appropriate for Buick. There have been some very attractive Epsilon platform chops for a Buick Skylark, but they didn't use the G6 as their base. Should Buick get an Epsilon? My vote is yet. Does that mean Pontiac should die? Definately not. <flame on>Why not use the rear drive platform... and ... wait a minute, it's coming to me...... make.... a Buick Riviera out of it!? </flame off> Cadillac has the superior Sigma, and sigma is already coming out in a coupe.
  22. not sure which is it, but it's got a different grill.... link
  23. Fly, for all the harping you're doing about that black triangle at the back of the roofline, I just noticed this the other day.....
  24. Chas does my hair because that is his profession. It's annoying that a simple mens haircut with my admittedly small amount of hair takes an hour and half.... but he's a bit of a perfectionist about it so it *always* looks great. The best part is, I get a high end salon haircut <that's where he works> and I don't have to pay anything.. and I don't have to tip..... well... with money that is. :AH-HA_wink: :AH-HA_wink:
