Versa (next generation subcompact) And of course touting the 36mpg highway What Nissan hasn't seemed to realize is everyone hates drug ads. Are people going ga-ga over 36mpg in this car? Mom's old '94 base Bonneville could do 32mpg highway if you were gentle. Cobalts and 4-cylinder Malibus hit 36 mpg no problem. V6s do 33.

Probably fairly well. From what I understand, the A380 has rear turbulance issues that end up effecting fuel economy. As far as jumbo jets go, the '47 is fairly efficient on a fuel per person per mile measurement. The 380, not so much. So the Americans are probably thinking: "With the A380, I'll have 500 people on the plane, but I'll spend more per person on fuel, and have to upgrade my terminal facilities, maintanence trucks and only operate them out of limited airports. With the '47, I just swap it out for one of my old models with less capacity.... and I save on fuel.... and I don't have to make any terminal upgrades" Of course if you're Richard Bransonm you simply say to Airbus, "Is there anything you can do about my incredibly small penis?"

Aren't the only airports in the US that can even handle the 380 without major upgrades, LAX, JFK, DFW, and ORD? The only US carriers to buy A380s are UPS and FedEx at 10 each.

well, now we get to the crux of the problem...... Still, in a modern day situation, two very similar sized sedans, similar power, both with stability control, one FWD, one RWD. In the same hands, which would do better? If my mother was driving, probably the TL. If I were driving, it'd probably be a wash. That is the question most people ask in their heads when shopping for a car. There aren't too many Chevette/Corvette crossshoppers anymore.

indeed. I'm curious though, which would end up fairing better in a snowy emergency, a CTS with Stabilitrack or a TL Type-S with stability control. Much closer, and more likely, comparison. Isn't the Chevette also RWD?

I think stabillatrack definately would have helped.... it's saved my butt a few times in the CTS. There was one time coming out of a car wash and I had the system turned off.... did a Dukes of Hazzard type right hand turn onto the highway.
