  4. while interesting, he seems to have written the article mostly from memory, adds a bit of his own speculation and as such gets a lot of it wrong. the hood bubble is for the turbo, there was also a non-turbo 2.0 dohc that was available and that *didn't* come with the hood bubble. The failure of these vehicles had more to do with the fact that they were freakin ugly. The Colt Vista was only a dog if you ordered it that way. It was available in a turbo charged 4wd model. While it wouldn't win drag races it wasn't terrible either. This was the car my parents had when I was a kid. 34mpg highway was the norm. Not too bad for a 7 passenger car. I think this would have been more acurate if he had stated "Mitsubishi showed the world how not to make a powerful 4 cylinder". Yes, mitsubishi turbo-4s have balls. But every time I hear the words 4cylinder and mitsubishi in the same sentence, all I can picture is an old Caravan or K-Car blowing blue smoke out the back. I give the article a D- as it is mostly the idle ramblings and musings with very little fact to back it up.
  5. Ok, so the interiors need to be updated, other than that, what is so wrong with these trucks? Both the I6 and 5.3 are excellent engines, the trucks as a whole seem to hold up well. AWD Rainiers with the I6 can be had for under 30k these days.
  6. I really like the people who trash the Colorado because they expect it to have a Lexus RX330 like interior. It's a truck people! It's ment to do work! Trucks aren't ment to be luxury cruisers. If you want a mommymobile so badly so you can haul your double latte around, get an Enclave. Answer this, does the Colorado fill the need of a !small! truck that has the ability to haul a lot of junk over it's lifetime and be rugged. How many Tacomas out there do actual work? How many Colorados?
  7. Let me know where you think you'll be coming through PGH? I have obligations until 4:30 on Saturday, but I might be able to swing out.
  8. I saw a maseratti something. It had French plates on it. Parked in a garage here in Pittsburgh. It was older, probably mid 90s.
  9. and if it *could* carry sheets of drywall in poor weather <which it can't>, if you got a flat tire, you'd have to remove the cargo. how much utility is there in that?
  10. it's a good write up charger... I think the fact that you haven't had any responses is because this is a GM site and we're all stoked about the new Chevys and GMCs.
  11. supposedly you can switch back and forth at will
  12. many gas stations sell gasoline with 10% ethanol in them
  13. do you know which sheetz have it?
  14. As E85 becomes more common you may see a switch to cars that are designed to run on E85 first and gasoline second. Part of the reason for the drop in efficiency is that the current engines are designed to run primarily on gasoline and E85 only as an afterthought.
  15. I think "win on sunday, sell on monday" has been dead for a good 20 years now.
  16. Did I miss something? are Outlook and Acadia going to be '07s?
  17. depends if they're proportional
  18. mmmmmm fauxhawk...
  19. That car has a bad case of G.A.S. Generic Asian Sedan
  20. you guys have it all wrong.... this is the next generation Prius. What the camo is covering is the exclusive and pioneering use of a tortoise shell wood exterior.
  21. well that isn't very big news...
  22. it's going to be a Saturn.... there is no such thing as too much plastic on the outside.
