    Again, most Niros are not plug-ins. Inside EVs won't cover those.

    I don't know. I haven't been paying much attention to these.... but to go to 3rd place hybrid in less than a year is saying something.

    Most Niros are just regular hybrids, not plug-ins. While that doesn't explain why that website doesn't list them, they wouldn't stack them in their statistics using the full number of Niros sold.

    It went from 0 to 27,237 in about 6 months with virtually no marketing. It was introduced at the Chicago auto show in February last year and went on sale in September this year. It's already the number 3 hybrid in sales. To catch up to to number 3 in that short a time is indeed a knock out.

    Aside from cost, the old Hyundai Genesis isn't the equivalent, the Equus was. Today that would be a G90. So in a few years you might be able to snag one of those.

    Indeed.... the Land Cruiser is the Japanese equivalent of the G Wagon.

    No city is good for driving. For that area though, I can just point my hood ornament westward and be fine. I grew up about 40 minutes south of where I'm looking and I'm in the area often for work. I'm also not afraid to drive into NYC with my old girl... The Prius taxis are scared of me.

    I keep my eyes on those K900s also. For the price you can pick them up at, they are a comfort cruiser lover's dream.

    I am surprised / not surprised at the Niro's performance. I'm surprised it took off so quickly for an unknown name with little marketing, but I'm not surprised because it is a really good product for the price and target market. And as far as hitting the core segment out there... it's a largish compact with a "crossover" shape and it's a hybrid. With a starting price of $23k, it's no wonder it's turning into a knock-out hit.

    I think for people who don't care, car sharing, car subscriptions, and various schemes like that will increase. They'll take the place of the CamCordTima crowd. For the people who do care, there will still be the niche products out there.

    I mean more like an article. There have been articles downvoted before. Bobo's post is essentially an annual article that he puts together for us every year. Old's stuff usually just confuses me so I'm not ever sure whether to upvote, downvote, or do confused eyes.
