  1. Not at all. Just more are being offered as plug-in by default.
  2. Again, most Niros are not plug-ins. Inside EVs won't cover those.
  3. I don't know. I haven't been paying much attention to these.... but to go to 3rd place hybrid in less than a year is saying something.
  4. Most Niros are just regular hybrids, not plug-ins. While that doesn't explain why that website doesn't list them, they wouldn't stack them in their statistics using the full number of Niros sold.
  5. It went from 0 to 27,237 in about 6 months with virtually no marketing. It was introduced at the Chicago auto show in February last year and went on sale in September this year. It's already the number 3 hybrid in sales. To catch up to to number 3 in that short a time is indeed a knock out.
  6. Aside from cost, the old Hyundai Genesis isn't the equivalent, the Equus was. Today that would be a G90. So in a few years you might be able to snag one of those.
  7. Indeed.... the Land Cruiser is the Japanese equivalent of the G Wagon.
  8. The new LS isn't out yet and the old one is out of production.
  9. No city is good for driving. For that area though, I can just point my hood ornament westward and be fine. I grew up about 40 minutes south of where I'm looking and I'm in the area often for work. I'm also not afraid to drive into NYC with my old girl... The Prius taxis are scared of me.
  10. Funny you mention that... NYC area (NJ, just over the Hudson) is #1 on the list right now.
  11. water spots are less bad than salt.
  12. I'd need a completely different pace of life to live there..... but I need a completely different pace of life to live here.... so 6 of one, half dozen of the other.
  13. I keep my eyes on those K900s also. For the price you can pick them up at, they are a comfort cruiser lover's dream.
  14. I'm sure it caused a burning sensation in his fingers to type it.
  15. I am surprised / not surprised at the Niro's performance. I'm surprised it took off so quickly for an unknown name with little marketing, but I'm not surprised because it is a really good product for the price and target market. And as far as hitting the core segment out there... it's a largish compact with a "crossover" shape and it's a hybrid. With a starting price of $23k, it's no wonder it's turning into a knock-out hit.
  16. I think for people who don't care, car sharing, car subscriptions, and various schemes like that will increase. They'll take the place of the CamCordTima crowd. For the people who do care, there will still be the niche products out there.
  17. Well, now that we all know what you're doing in front of the computer all the time.... Maybe we can all chip in and buy you one of these..... http://amzn.to/2F10WxW
  18. I generally try to not to edit people's posts. I let people's dumb posts stand for all to see.
  19. Effortlessly? I beg to differ. It's going to take me hours of effort to replace the starter in my CRV.
  20. My 4 year old nephew is definitely going to be a Jeep Wrangler guy.
  21. You can still do it at other price levels as well. I picked that one because you can get Super Cruise on CT6
  22. With the weather we're having here lately, moving to Miami to be closer to my parents is looking very attractive.
  23. I mean more like an article. There have been articles downvoted before. Bobo's post is essentially an annual article that he puts together for us every year. Old's stuff usually just confuses me so I'm not ever sure whether to upvote, downvote, or do confused eyes.
  24. Well, for the same price, you also have the option of the CTS V-Sport Premium Luxury with the expensive paint and fancier leather seats. This is the overlap that Cadillac is trying to cure. XTS V-Sport Platinum - $72,090 CTS V-Sport Premium Luxury with white tri-coat and kona brown leather - $73,015 CT6 3.0TT Premium Luxury with Super Cruise - $73,290
  25. A gently used, certified pre-owned Bolt would be a steal for someone shopping the segment. That said, I think part of it also has to do with the way the tax credit is structured. If you lease, you get the full credit vis-a-vie the leasing company. If you buy, then you have to deal with submitting for the tax credit and possibly not being eligible for the full amount. I'm certain that is an aspect for leasing as well.
