  1. 0-60 means nothing to me, but the torque number does
  2. I won't be going old enough to get an ML
  3. Raising and lowering is not the same as suspension firmness. Airmatic on comfort is cloud-like
  4. GM models depended on when they got refreshed. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay require more powerful in-car processors. I know that in the Cadillac they had to make a physically larger space to put the processing computer.
  5. The Titan needs to go on a diet.
  6. I'm just happy there will be a next generation XJ
  7. The Cayenne is intriguing, but I wonder how comfort tuned they are. On the GLE, at least I can get Airmatic, which I love.
  8. The GLE does depreciate enough to put it in the same running as the GC Summit Hemi. 0-60 doesn't matter to me as much as smooth torquey acceleration. I'm certainly not going to worry about a 1 second difference when either of them will blow away the vehicle it is replacing. That said, there are only a few GLE400s listed on Auto trader.
  9. You can't go by Jeep's overall brand rating. Every vehicle they make is designed by a different company. The one knock I know of against the GLE is no Android Auto.
  10. CPO 2017 Grand Cherokee Summit hemi 4x4 is the price range. Not looking for an SRT level anything. Comfort, torque, 600lb tow hitch tongue weight rating are the priorities.
  11. Interior room is the biggest thing, as @Dfelt said. Personally, I think the SRX handles better than the XT5 does. Engines will be pretty close, but the XT5 is likely slightly faster due to being an 8-speed rather than a 6-speed. XT5 will get better fuel economy because of the cylinder deactivation. The SRX I don't think ever got Android Auto / Apple Carplay, but if it did, it would be in the final 2 years.
  12. Asking price is not the same as selling price. They may be asking $22k, but that doesn't mean they'll get it.
  13. FWD, once it was no longer a luxury and hit the mainstream, was for package efficiency and making cars cheaper. It had nothing to do with traction. Marketing departments came up with that one. The first vehicles I see in the ditch when the snow starts are the 4x4 SUVs.
  14. That's an extension of the look the big Range Rover has
  15. I got a few episodes into the new series but I couldn't keep interested
  16. Guys, when I say let it go and move on, I mean let it go and move on. Find a new subject.
  17. They are stunning looking crossovers.
  18. I'm surprised there are that many F-Series rentals, but maybe this includes uhaul and Penske. Nissan resale was already terrible due to cheap leasing. Selling to fleets wasn't going to hurt much.
  19. Opinions are like assholes, everyone's got one. Let's move on.
  20. Indeed. That's one of the reasons I like it. If you hadn't caught it by now, I prefer subtle expression of power. You'll never ever catch me putting a loud exhaust on anything I drive, but I might add resonators to improve the grumble of the engine if needed. It's a truck... Clearly something like 0-60 isn't a factor for me.
  21. Some of it boils down to preferences. The italian supercar engines' soundtracks don't appeal to me. I like the deep throat growl of high displacement American V8s. I also like low end torque... spinning an engine to 8,000 rpm doesn't appeal to me at all. So, other factors aside, I prefer the GM 6.2 or the Hemis. Are they the best? That's not for me to decide, but they are certainly my personal preference. I don't care at all about hp/liter or max peak horsepower as long as the actual delivery of the power is satisfying. What it is like to live with is far more important than what it might perform like on paper. Soundtrack + usable power delivery + reliability + fuel economy = GM SBC or Chrysler Hemi for me every day of the week and twice on Sundays. A Sierra 6.2 at full tilt is what brings the hairs on my neck to stand up and take notice.
  22. @regfootball what are the $$ details on this. How much down, how much a month?
  23. An AWD V6 Charger isn't a bad place to spend the time. I lean more towards the 300 and Chrysler practically gives them away on leases.
  24. Horsepower per liter is the dumbest metric possible. If we use that metric, most 2-stroke chainsaws would beat most cars. Even your grandmother can make 800 horsepower if we spin her fast enough.
