  1. Statistics often lie. Go by the numbers all you want, but sitting in an Escalade feels roomier than a GLS. They feel like completely different size classes.
  2. It really is a nice improvement. Looks imposing, almost threatening in that Mafia boss sorta way.
  3. It's your $100,000, demand better (looking)
  4. While other areas of the Escape may up for debate against its competition, it has, hands down, the best steering of any crossover in that class..... possibly of classes above it as well. The only thing that comes close is the CX3
  5. I dunno... I could have easily gone with a Bonneville, but there was always an Aurora in the same showroom that would grab my attention first.
  6. At least on the Avenir trims, there are actual hardware upgrades. Both the Enclave and Lacrosse get upgraded electronic suspensions.
  7. Running 3 brands with just 2 platforms and 4 engines is very ambitious.
  8. No... the larger Escalade has the better feel driving around. The GLS may stop faster, but that's about it. And yes... the Escalade has a larger feel inside.
  9. Updated the article view template to a new format... take a look at this example
  10. Editors and Premium subscribers get 50. You have some odd extra groups that don't really apply to this board anymore. I've fixed it for now for you, but I still need to clean up your account a little bit.
  11. Great to hear. Hopefully you've turned ad-blocker back off
  12. Bumped everyone up to 25. I had to keep a stricter limit before when there was abuse of the system. They don't feel at all close when behind the wheel.
  13. I just think the prior models were more striking.
  14. No, EVs won't drop below ICEs... but ICE pricing will be nudged upwards providing the same effect.
  15. I have never been into sports cars. My parents always bought obscure shitboxes growing up, Fiat Wagon, VW Type III Squareback, Subaru GL Wagon, Dodge Colt Vista Wagon. I was enamored by the big GM land yachts of the time because they had power windows, power antenna, air conditioning, and doors that sounded like a bank vault. The Cadillac Seville and Eldorado looks like something old-school movie stars from the '30s might drive today (today being 1983). The fascination stuck, and here I am today,
  16. The GLS is a luxury Dodge Durango. 2018 Dodge Durango Spec Height 70.9 in. Width 75.8 in. Length 201.2 in.
  17. I found the issue and fixed it. Because we have several hundred sub-forums, there is no easy way to check each and every one. If you encounter it again, just send me a PM and I'll fix it.
  18. I have applied a potential fix. Please let me know how it works.
  19. Already happened in the CR-V. The Encore had a damaged and clogged Catalytic converter replaced under warranty over the summer. If I lived in a different location but with the same work situation, I would absolutely switch over to an EV as soon as one was built that I liked the looks of. I still want my luxury goodies. If I were buying today, I'd probably aim for an ELR because I can't afford a CT6 PHEV. But Albert would never let me get something impractical like that.
  20. I've been in my 60s since I was 5 years old... at least in regards to my taste in cars. These were my first loves as a kid
