  1. It really is just a slightly more powerful compact segment car... not so much a full out performance car like the WRX or GTI. The CVT was bad from an outright performance perspective, but in "normal" driving, I imagine it would make good use of the torque.
  2. Sounds roughly similar to my Nissan Sentra SR Turbo First Drive though I had the CVT.
  3. I think these are meant to be pursuit vehicles... not just trundle around on patrol that any old W-Body Impala could accomplish. As such, their numbers in the fleet would be limited.
  4. There is just something about a big, V8, American luxury car... and this is as close as you get to that now.
  5. I might actually change my New selection from Lacrosse to a 300C V8 if I can find one nicely equipped for under $40k.
  6. Fire an EMP?
  7. You're thinking the W12. the V8s are pretty solid.
  8. Same bratwurst, different lengths
  9. New - As much Lacrosse as I can get for $40k Used - This 2006 VW Phaeton with 47k miles for $19,995
  10. I rarely use the Encore's NAV anymore and I've already told Albert the next vehicles won't have it. I use Waze as my NAV app because I want the police and traffic alerts. Since I have to carry two phones for work anyway, I just use one of them for NAV and music.
  11. 52k miles and it's been pretty much trouble free.
  12. I do think the styling is a huge improvement over the current model. I'm meh about the powertrain.... it's fine as a base engine, but what about an option for those who want/need more power?
  13. My Cutlass Convertible - $220 My CTS - $335 My Avalanche - $465 My Encore - $348
  14. It's just a reversal of a trend... and a good reversal too. I originally felt that displacement reduction + turbo charging was the answer, but it hasn't seemed to be the case.
  15. Arrived in the Catskills for a couple days of car, truck, and motorcycle testing. Brought the Olds so I get preferred parking.
  16. I could go with that one also... I just think Avenir doesn't mean anything to Americans and sounds overly pretentious
  17. The Caprice still uses the 6.0 And GM, you're not fooling me with these faux Avalanches....
  18. Bosch knew about it and sent letters to VW people about it.... there has to be more at the higher levels that knew
  19. You can use our galleries here or add the pictures to your entry in the garage.
  20. This is not your Great grandfather's Oldsmobile!
  21. I've been a couple times. It was less impressive than I was expecting, but still good. They get pricey for someone like me who only eats smaller portions.
  22. Sure... one manufactured by Mazda. The thing is... if the holes have already be punched in the back yard, the expensive and complicated part is done.
  23. Even with the best research, someone can get a terrible Honda or a great Fiat.
  24. There are many makes/models of geothermal. Like all major purchases, reliability should be researched.
