2016 (all new) Chevy Cruze LT 1.4t automatic
I can't argue with the 3 being in 1st place, but the Cruze should have taken 2nd over the Civic.

My First Uber Experience
I've had an Uber in a used Chevy Volt. Talked to the guy for a while about it. We made it from my house to the airport on Electric alone. He says he usually parks on one of the local college campuses and plugs in at one of the free chargers until he gets a ping. He's gotta have the lowest fuel costs of any uber driver out there.

My First Uber Experience
See, I don't think a lot of the drivers are thinking about the maintenance/value of their car. They just see a quick 20-60 bucks. The two drivers I talked to(granted..minute sample size) this was a second "job" on the side. They enjoyed it and it was just extra spending money. They both drove Kias so they probably didn't give a crap about their cars like us. My biggest worry would be people flopping around getting in or out. If they scratched or scuffed anything I'd be really pissed but I couldn't do anything about it either. It certainly wasn't worth it with my car, but if you pick up a low mileage, used Pruis, for cheap... maybe on a rebuilt title... that you don't care about and intend to run it till it heads to the crusher, then I could see it working out financially. I see people Ubering with expensive trucks and BMWs and Benzes and I shake my head. The absolute worst vehicle to Uber with is something new that depreciates rapidly.

Fitness thread: All topics related to personal health and wellness
Yeah I have a gym membership, but lately my workouts are coming from swinging a sledge hammer. I have two apartments that I am gentrifying renovating from low-middle income housing into something nicer. There is a Google campus less than 5 minutes away from these places and rental prices for nicer apartments have skyrocketed.

My First Uber Experience
I use Uber a lot to get myself to and from the airport here in Pittsburgh. I much prefer it over taxis. I signed up to drive for Uber last year and I did it a a couple days a week for a few weeks with the Encore. After running the numbers, I'm not sure how anyone is making enough money from it in Pittsburgh unless they are pulling 12 hour days. It's simply not worth it unless there is surge pricing going on. It might be different in a bigger city. If the rates are too low, all you're really doing is trading your vehicle's equity for cash... you're not "making" anything.

The only number to pay attention to is body fat percentage. You can be 5'10" 300lbs, but if your body fat percentage is <15% you're fine.

- Holy Crap The Ford GT Is On Pole For Le Mans!
It's called "Win on Sunday, Sell on Monday"... it's about as old a mantra as the automobile itself. Does that mean that I should visit my Ford dealership and buy myself the Mustang? A GT perhaps?...hell, the ecoboost version will do! After all, the ecoboost won the race! Sounds like a sound plan to me !!!! That's the association Ford is hoping you, and many others, will make.- Holy Crap The Ford GT Is On Pole For Le Mans!

Great video. It told me some things to think about that hadn't crossed my mind, like strapping the ramps to the truck. Loading the bike at my house will be super duper easy. I have a very steep driveway that I can back up to and with the tail gate down, practically walk the bike onto the truck without a ramp. When I had my 2003 Avalanche, I loaded heavy things into the bed this way many times, so I know that it lines up right. It's the Florida end that will be the problem.- Motorcycles
Ramps. But it's the only way I'll get it down to Florida.Front of front tire to middle of rear tire is 76.5" Yeah ramps still just suck getting a bike into the bed of a truck. We used ramps to get my Daytona into the bed of a Silverado when I picked it up and it just always seems sketchy. Why not drive it down to Florida?!?! Well it sounds like it will fit with a little maneuvering it around if you put the front wheel in one of the corners, but the tailgate will have to be down. Wouldn't I put it along the center line of the truck? Why not drive it down? I"m a new rider and don't want to be on the bike for 1,200 miles. I want to stay down there for 2 or 3 weeks at a time, and being only on a motorcycle wouldn't work.- Motorcycles

- The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Is Officially Sold Out!!!
Options cost money. GM would have to pay to certify the car in that configuration with the EPA (which isn't cheap) and for what would likely be a relatively low take rate.- The 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Is Officially Sold Out!!!
The TT3.6 already blows away the performance of the 5.3... and not by a little bit. The S/C 6.3, sure... but the 3.6TT should be the engine in the CT6 over the 5.3.- Motorcycles
I like the forward controls on that. Just a side note though, the stretched out riding position is good for confort, but can have a negative affect on handling. I don't do the canyon carving thing so that's not an issue for me.Did you change your mind about a passenger? I don't really think canyon carving is on the menu for me anyway, besides, there are no canyons here to carve. No, I didn't change my mind about a passenger, I can get a second seat for the Vulcan S. As I mentioned above, I won't be buying a new one. This is still a starter bike for me, so I'm less worried about those things and more worried about me laying down a new bike.- Motorcycles
