  1. I would be quite grateful if you can point me to a source of such information.
  2. The battery is a Volt battery, cut in half, and folded.
  3. This is Citroën's attempt to survive. They need to re-enter new markets. Renault gets it's economies of scale in the US through Nissan.
  4. They need to make as many variants off their existing platforms as possible. They won't sell a huge number of them, but they'll make money on it as nearly all of the parts are on the shelf already.
  5. The ultimate machine to be driven around in?
  6. I hope they separate out the sales numbers They will as they are not considered the same vehicle. In the past the Classic and limited models were always counted separately. I would love to see the new Acadia in the Midnight trim that they just showed the Terrain in. It really changed the tone of the vehicle. It makes the Denali look as tacky as it really is with this years added random chrome. Unfortunately, that isn't true. Take a look at the December 2015 GM sales report. Only one listing for Impala, only one listing for Malibu, only one listing for Cruze. Same goes for February 2016
  7. Just took a quick look at my Buick file, had an article on the '83. What's the advantage of the '85 over the '83… or why did you pick '85? 4-spd trans? Both '83 and '85 have 4-speed autos.... The final year of the E-bodies got some interior "fluffing" and other smaller mechanical enhancements. Also, pretty much any GM vehicle in the '80s is best in its final year on the platform because it took GM that long to get it right. I don't have the articles handy, but Buick was making tweaks to the Turbo 3.8 nearly every year in production in order to improve reliability. Water-boarding??
  8. And Cheers and Gears recommends that it's readers actually read the article they posted before commenting on it. CR recommends avoiding only the early versions of these electric cars. BTW, I'm sure you're really proud!!! ruh roh!!
  9. That's because Europe is used to Mercedes and BMW being taxies. Those A/B class cars in Europe are nothing more special than a Ford Focus. There is significant price overlap in the MB A-class/B-Class/CLA class lines with the ford Focus/C-Max/S-Max lines. When you're playing in those price classes, of course you're going to sell well. (the Fords still sell better though)
  10. and in 3 minutes? That's a pretty short timeline to failure. That's not overheating from normal police use at the extreme end of the spectrum... that's outright banging on it to make it break.
  11. Curiious, why the 83 and not the 85?
  12. At least we know it's just my end then. Thaaaaanks work computer! Maybe your I.T. department is blocking certain websites? Yeah there is a lot blocked it's just weird when it's only 2 of the 5 posted pictures. This isn't the first time by any means. the pictures are each sourced from a different website, so that's why
  13. Police work in a hot climate, I suppose. The Falcon and Commodore were built for it. The Falcon just uses a 5-speed auto or a ZF 6-speed unit (not sure which the Police vehicles are equipped with) of no remarkable extra endurance. Something smells fishy.

  15. All of your pics show up for me frisky
  16. It looks okay I guess... and VW really needed it... but with that sort of AWD system, a Legacy or Impreza it is not
  17. The A3 is a fine driving car because the Jetta is a fine driving car..... but it is still an expensive Jetta.
  18. I could do a complete second list if I was allowed. It would basically look like a mid-90s Chevrolet-Pontiac-Buick-Oldsmobile car lot.
  19. It's not just the drive train layout. The interior of the CLA/GLA is sub-par too unless you really load it up into C-Class territory. Cadillac pioneered FWD in luxury cars, so at least they have some history with it. Exactly. The CLA has been widely panned as being "cheap" by just about every publication out there. The fact that it is FWD is the least of its concern. Being FWD doesn't makes it a bad car. Being cheap does. Exactly. The CLA and GLA are not the quality one expects from Mercedes. I have the same exact feelings for the Audi A3 and that one was always going to be FWD based because their entire lineup is. The A3 just feels like a luxury Jetta to me, and not at all at the level of competence of the other Audis.
  20. Good call on the F-150 Ecoboost... I'd probably swap into that if I can't find one of the 1 of 27 Saab 9-5 Wagons.
  21. Hahaha so I read.. So is the NY show this week? I so, I assume you're out that way? Yup. NYIAS press days are Wednesday and Thurday. I'm in NJ today and tomorrow for work.
  22. New Spark hasn't changed platforms from the old. It's still on Gamma II like the old spark, Trax, Encore, Sonic, Opel Adam, Opel Karl.
