  1. well... Multiair is a technology. According to the link from Cubical, both the 1.4T and the 2.4 have it, but only the 1.4T makes reference to it in the name.
  2. then I am misunderstanding what multiair is... I thought it was a replacement for the throttle body.
  3. I don't think the 2.4 is a Multiair technology engine.
  4. sounds like they have possibly fixed a few of my interior ergonomic complaints.
  5. This could end up being on my shopping list....
  6. I would like to see both engines offered in the Corvette. But dwight, what about how the 3.6TT makes so much torque down low (and with very low lag in the CTS) while the big V8 actually has to spool up higher before the real torque is made? Doesn't have an effect on 0-60?
  7. The AWD/RWD question isn't a big one for me because I'm not afraid to invest in snow tires. I admit that I'm a size queen and the size of the XTS appeals to me. I do also like the look of the car. The CTS has the slightly better quality interior, but the XTS has the much better ride when set to "comfy"
  8. Right, and a V6 at best is going to get 30 mpg, a lot of turbo 4's can get closer to 35, and probably with a flatter torque curve. And who wants to a 270 hp Dodge Dart anyway, lol. If done right, the same people who want a WRX, or Evo, or Focus ST, or can't afford an ILX Turbo
  9. Yes, but we're in a time now where Turbo 4-Cylinders can put out 270hp without breaking a sweat and still get over 30mpg.
  10. Would this be a practical thing for drivers of classics?
  11. Wow... a subject that SMK, Cubical, and I can all agree on completely..... the desire for the return of the stand up hood ornament from Cadillac.
  12. GM has pretty much clipped off torque steer completely with Hy-per strut.... but that doesn't tell us what a high powered Chrysler FWD car would do. I actively avoid the Chrysler 200/Dodge Avenger, and that, in V6 form, would be the most powerful FWD car they offer
  13. w. t. f.
  14. Can I get a converter kit to fuel my '81? It doesn't have fuel injection, it's just a 4-barrel carb. I ask this as a question leading up to another question.
  15. I like the softer ride of the XTS, but in the V-Sport you can firm it up with the touch of a switch. The CTS does handle better and feels lighter, but not enough to matter to me in every day driving. I love the look of both.
  16. Imagine the torque steer on a 270 hp Dart also, unless it was AWD, in which case the gas mileage will suck. ... it would be the same as any other 270 hp front driver.... not sure what the fact that it is a Dart has anything to do with it.
  17. I know... I just don't think AWD is on the table for that one.
  18. Could? Sure. Will? Probably not for a few more years.
  19. Thank you for that compliment. I do try to hold us to a higher standard of writing. All of our reviews go through a multi-person editing process before we publish.
  20. It should be pretty easy to do a 3.2 TT High Output and a 3.2T Standard Output
  21. If it were my $60k... I admit, I would have a hard time choosing between the CTS V-Sport and XTS V-Sport.
  22. A Passat with the Malibu's 2.0 would do fine... the Malibu has 259hp and 295 lb-ft. The VW 2.0T only has 210hp and 207 ft-lbs.
  23. I feeling something may have been lost in translation..... I can't see them putting a V6 in the Dart.... a Dart platform Avenger maybe... but not the Dart itself.
  24. 2.0t as a mid-range motor maybe, but their 2.0 doesn't have the guts to be a v6 replacement
