  1. Fly, the one person who really should fear Toyotas.
  2. The sky has too many candella?
  3. Do you still have my pants? Oh, and its 60 and sunny out now, we had some scattered showers earlier.
  4. I was figuring that the S5 would come in, price-wise, near the 650i, which would be a tough choice to make. CLK vs A5 is also hard.
  5. I like it, a ton. But I also like the CLK and love the 6er so if I were in this particular market, I would have to do some serious soul searching, not to mention some serious test driving.
  6. I know what you mean, we've been in the mid-60's all week, and its been hellaciously sunny. Today its supposed to be 62 with rain, tomorrow 41 with rain/snow then back into the 50's/60's.
  7. Daimler doesn't want Chrysler. GM shouldn't want Chrysler. Ford doesn't want (and likely cannot afford) Chrysler. Best chance for Chrysler would be the Chinese.
  8. I doubt GM would be sad if the Chinese bought Chrysler. The quality would probably get even worse, as if that was possible.
  9. Maybe they can buy Chrysler and make them (with the exception of Jeep) fleet only.

I got a reprieve, my boss decided that I had better things to do. So I went and looked at a Mini instead. Quad-A, I cut out some threats of forced sodomy with lawn car equipment and cannibalism. But its all taken care of now.

I was once sexually harassed by a panda, it wasn't fun.

I accused my boss of being on a witch hunt. Then I told her that I'm actually looking forward to going because I might be able to pick up some new material, seems my old sexual harassment stuff is getting stale. She told me to shut up.
  13. Yeah, they could advertise the superiority. Have a Corvette (or whatever) driver pull up at a red light next to a Charger (or whatever) and the Dodge driver could do the redneck "That thing got a Hemi" thing and the Chevy driver could be like, "No, LS7" and smoke the Dodge driving tool.

Next time I get a call from someone in India I am going to ask if they just lawled and say roflcopter a lot.In other news, I still suck at golf, but at least I'm hitting the ball straight. 'blu, Alex is doing fine, he's getting over his little string of ear infections and finally figuring out the whole crawling thing. If only he'd figure out how to go forward. Maybe he needs a Toyota. Yep Pauly, thats my name. For the longest time, I hated it when people called me Dave, so I wouldn't respond, then I just kinda gave in and let people call me whatever the hell they want to.

Ever have a day where little things pile on? First I put my copy of First Impressions of Earth in my cars cd player and its scratched to hell. Then I run to the store for a few things, get home and go to fire up the grill for hamburgers. Out of propane. Then I go into work (I spend like 6 hours a week in my office, I can do most of my work from home) and find a memo about a mandatory sexual harassment thing Friday. Hand written at the bottom: "David, you're going to be there" Then I get a phone call that boiled down to this: (disembodied voice) You didn't pay your mortgage (me) You are teh liar, I totally paid (disembodied voice) lawl, I just lawled all over my face, you are teh delinquent (me) I am roflcopter over your stupidity (disembodied voice) you are teh stupid (me) orly? (disembodied voice) ya rly Basically, we were both right, I entered the wrong date when I was setting up all my bills through my bank online. And now I cant sleep, which sucks because I've got a 9:30 tee time.
  16. And Buick isn't just the luxury division of Chevy? Pontiac isn't just the sporty division of Chevy? Honestly, the only reason those two brands deserve to live is so GMC dealerships can have something to take up lot space.
  17. Dont ask 68 for advice, he'll point you towards a 20 year old Datsun whilst bitching about how imports suck. Anyways, for $6k you're not going to get anything good with low miles, and miles are the enemy of reliability, import or domestic. Tauruses are awful vehicles in many ways, I'd avoid that. You can probably find a few Impalas and Aleros for that price and get far greater reliability than a Taurus or Intrepid. Just because yours is somehow still moving doesn't mean that the transmission problems aren't real. They've also got sludge issues. You can probably also find a few Jeeps (both Cherokees and GCs) for under $6k. In the end, I'd just let them be, let them buy what they see fit, after all it isn't your money.
  18. Ohhh....Ven just made me think of something. What about Kirk?
  19. I hope the Chinese buy it, thats what Chrysler deserves.
  20. $10 says its someone trying to be funny.
  21. Oops, could've sworn there was a gap, probably just because they didn't sell that well. How come Isuzu didn't get a new Oasis?
  22. Thanks for the advice, I dont even want to bother with ghetto fixing it right now. Honestly, unless the car is spotless clean (like it was when I took the pic) you really cant notice it.
  23. This man knows what he's talking about.
  24. There was a gap of a couple of years between the original Odyssey and the new one, but I see where you're coming from. They dont advertise the SRX which is a real shame because if more people knew about it and the new interior, more people would check it out. All part of, as you said earlier, the old GM way. Take three years too long to get it right then dont let anyone know.
  25. It was published nearly a decade ago, so its not going to be in current print. And Honda sales didn't exactly slump after the book came out.
