  1. Yep, the plunging temps are great. Wednesday it was 70 when I got out of class at 3, it was about 35 five hours later.
  2. I drove by several car lots and what stood out was not that the lots were empty because all of the inventory had been moved to the back (not that the cars are much safer there) but what had been left out. The Saturn dealership left an Aura out underneath a cheap vinyl tent, VW/Mitsu/Porsche moved everything including the '99 Villager with 160k miles that they want $7000 for. The Ford dealership and the Lincoln/Jeep dealer didn't move a thing. The evil Chevy/Mercedes dealer made some interesting choices. The entire Chevy side was moved (the truck lot was being plowed by a Ford) except one single Aveo left to fend for itself. It looked lonely. The Mercedes side moved everything except an R-class, I guess they figure that if its the only thing people can see that customers will assume it is the only Mercedes available and will buy it in spite of the fact that it looks like a deformed VW New Beetle/Jetta wagon mashup.
  3. You're totally interpreting correctly. I was iffy with just seeing pics, but that changed when I saw one in person. Amazing, beautiful, damn near perfect. The Jag and Audi do have some very good qualities while the Lexus and BMW have some major faults in my eyes. You cant go wrong with the MB, Jag or Audi, but the S stands above all. Airbag light

I got it into the dealership this morning. Originally they told me that they'd have to keep the car there to check it out, but since the light went off on its own they went ahead and ordered the radio and told me that they would look into the airbag light when they put the new radio in. There were no TSBs about it and they weren't going to get any codes because it had been a week and the car has been on and off a couple dozen times. My service advisor didn't even bother getting the radio pulled and checked out, he just ordered a new one. The only time I had to get out of the car was to put Alex back in his carseat. I had to burp him in the service bay after feeding him from the front seat on the way over.
  5. Who else has been enjoying this big storm thats been going across the nation? It started raining last night and didn't let up, it turned into freezing rain and finally snow this evening. The best part is that I had to drive around randomly assessing the roads so I could decide wether or not any stores needed to be closed. Since half the town was a sheet of ice and there were no plows in sight, one delivery only store had to be closed. After that I got bored so I came home and couldn't get the Fusion into my garage (driveway is a pretty steep incline) so I left it at the end of the driveway and came inside. Then I used some Nair I found to eliminate a single gigantic hair on my arm. And thats how my night went.
  6. Honestly, if you add the STS-V to this group it would come up 7th out of 6, and not just because of some phantom media bias, but because the STS-V isn't even close to being a real player. Also I would like to add that the new S class makes me want to have all sorts of silly orgasms.
  7. Gone for the sake of aerodynamics. I like the looks, and at first agreed with empowah about it being pointless. Then I realized GM is just pandering to the tools who continue to buy fullsize SUVs and never take them offroad or tow anything or haul anything or carry more than 2 people in them. They bitch about gas consumption, so this is a way to appease them. I guess.
  8. Hybrids typically get better mileage in city driving than highway driving, so I wouldn't get too attached to the math we've seen thus far. Maybe the 25% is city while highway improvement is more like 18-20% or something like that. Or the 25% is a mixed cycle figue.
  9. Ford has been using it on flex-fuel vehicles for the better part of a decade.
  10. Its my sexbox, and her names Sony.
  11. This one goes straight to it. I like what I see, should do well. I also really like the color.
  12. I really want to test ride a Segway.

  14. Nobody is bitching about the taillights that stick out in the same way an FJ Cruiser's do?
  15. The SSX and the 6 came out in the same year, so the 6 hatch was well into development, if not already on lots when the SSX came out.
  16. The rear end gives me a Prius vibe.
  17. I like the Land Cruiser, although I prefer the earlier I6 versions to the current (since 98ish) V8 model. I really dont get why one would spend an extra $15k on an LX.
  18. I dont hate it, but I'll have to see it in person.
  19. Its yellow, it must be fast.
  20. I like it, for the most part.

  22. Thats so cool!
  23. I would've been happy because whatever rental car they were paying for would be a hell of a lot nicer than a '93 Grand Am.
