A dude I worked with delivering pizza has an old (late 80's) Chevy with 360k on it. It looks like $h! (he hit and knocked over a brick mailbox, it left his bumper all banged up) and sounds like $h!, but the Green Goblin still runs.

It just kind of fell into my lap, nothing exciting, just a bitch in human resources.

The "mini-SUV" rendering at the link looks like an Element with 4 conventional doors, which wouldn't be a bad idea.

Insurance company called and said they'll pay off about $9600, my gap protection will pay off the other $1900 I owe. They carted my car off today, I actually saw it on a trailer being driven off, brought a tear to my eye. For now I'm driving the Accord, which still looks like $h! (althouth now it has turn signals) but is a total blast to drive, honestly.

A painful follow up to this joke post. I was in doing paperwork, learning the computers, blah blah blah for my new crappy job when the chick handling my "entrance to the company" (god Corporate America sucks) asks if I want to go with some other people from personnel to lunch. I say sure, and we all go to this place down the street, the first thing I notice when I walk into the resaurant was Hangin Tough on the radio. I started laughing, my supervisor stopped talking and looked at me then she started laughing too. I guess she was really into NKOTB, which makes sense, as she is about my sister's age and she was into them too.

Went lot hopping again. '01 Lesabre, 79,000 miles for just under $9k. '05 Malibu Maxx for a shade under $13k. A bunch of Lincoln LS V8s for around $12k and an '02 Volvo S40 for just under $13k.

I've seen one Prius (a first gen) for sale used, I've seen several new or nearly new Honda hybrids (Accords and Civics) sitting on lots. It just seems weird.
