I live a mile or so away from the high school, they used an F-350 in this years demonstration, its all sorts of f@#ked up, looks like it got hit hard on the passenger side, there is almost nothing left, but the driver's side is pretty unscathed.

I even think the Oldsmobile forum should go. The past is in the past, no amount of "This is what should have happened" threads (lets face it, thats what a heritage forum would turn into) are going to change the past. Focusing on the future allows for debates, suspense and excitement. Taking about the past just brings a brief moment of joy (to some people) followed by a depression based on "they dont build 'em like they used to" which is not something we need more of around here.

Didn't Walt once say C&G was supposed to be about GM present and future, not GM past? A heritage section would only dilute the site and take the focus away from future advancements made by GM. Just my :twocents:

Mullets have been around C&G far longer than you have, so someone who is stuck in GM's past would have to respect C&G's past too, and the whole mullet thing is part of that. Sodomy, its avatar, not everyone feels the need to change their avatar every week, deal with it. Fly has had "Swerve to avoid nuclear blast" in his avatar for as long as I can remember, and I dont see anybody complaining about his repetativly pointing out that our government is inept. I think all of the videos should be put into one massive thread, then responded to in a separate thread. The way it is now, I go to check new posts and there are a dozen or so video threads that I'm not going to bother looking at cluttering things up. How many of the video threads have zero replies? A lot, thats why I think they should be contained in one thread that the members can sort through, and if they choose to discuss the video further they can start a separate thread.

I have a theory, maybe the teachers they get in SoDak are just representative of the population. Because really, do you think ed majors around the country are clamoring to teach in SoDak? I doubt the state has anything to entice out-of-state teachers to come in to take jobs, so they go with what they have, SoDak residents. I'm sure that a certain percent of the population of SoDak can be considered hillbilly (Lets say 15% because its a random number I just pulled out of my ass) therefore it makes sense that a similar percent of the states teachers (about 15%) would be in that hillbilly grouping. Maybe you're just unlucky and live in an area with a high concentration of hill folk who happen to have been education majors.

I think we lost more when AH-HA left because of the way he was treated than we lost when a couple of narrow minded GM apologists left. Anyone who doesn't realize that GM needs to yet hasn't adapted to the modern world of automobile manufacturing isn't a true GM enthusiast.

I honestly dont see the point in going that high up when the STS and SRX are struggling and the CTS is due for a sales decline. Make the volume sellers competative then go for the super high end stuff.

Yeah, dealerships usually put high dollar used cars in front, no matter the make. I've seen a XLR is front of a Honda dealership, one of our Chevy dealerships keeps three GTOs and two Mustangs up front, there is usually an array of imports and domestics parked in the front row of the Acura/Saturn dealership. All it means is that someone didn't want the car and one way or another the dealer ended up with it.
