  1. Agreed. Even if the ouput they go for is not very different from the atmospheric 2.4L, at least it would have a fatter (and flatter!) torque curve.
  2. get well soon!

  4. Icepick @ Satty - That reminded me of a bachelor party I went to. I'd tell more but then I'd have to kill you
  5. Why was yj's post deleted?

  10. I just want to get an alert from GM's SEC Filings page so I can downlaoad the document and read it. Chrysler wanting just $2bn more is not that bad given the way the market is behaving. If they did get the UAW concessions and are able to reduce both legacy costs and align capacity with demand, all the better for them!

  13. EDIT (since I can't edit anymore) - there's no great hope left. hope was called for maybe 15 or 20 years ago, now it's all about tough business decisions.

  15. The German unions asked for the state governments do take an equity share in the company, IIRC. Those plants are routinely mentioned whenever the word restructuring is paired with GM Europe.
  16. f@#king idiots... Sorry about your car, Croc. I hope you get the guys/guys who did it and them!
  17. They have until March 31st to achieve an agreement with the Unions, correct?
  18. Can't they just stick a catalytic converter in the cow's ass?
  19. They may be forced to close it for a lack of buyers. It's a buyer's market now, but (almost funny/ironic) almost no potential buyer has the financial muscle to raise acquisition finance...
  20. Pardon the sarcasm, but... no $h!, Sherlock! Re Saturn, the idea of Buick as a core brand and getting the Opel-based Regal reopened the door for these two brands to get in bed together. Saturn is now irrelevant, and my hope is that some lessons learned about dealership experience and costumer service are not wasted.
  21. Go for it. Nice, quiet, organized in that Nordic kind of way.
  22. Dallas JR Ewing FTW!
  23. But of course! We rule! My favourite city is Gothenburg, Sweden. That might change once I go to Stockholm. The key here is tall, blonde, blue eyed women :AH-HA_wink:
