Some light upgrades to my 2011 Camaro
I think the red coupe in Geneva didn't have any (I only saw a rear-end pic of the convertible on display there): only the concept in the pic you posted had them, me thinks.

Yeah the European version looks like it's going to lift off with those mirrors it has, also not sure what those vents are supposed to do under the fog lights on the EU version either. Vents? Do you mean at the front or the rear? I didn't notice those, to me it only seems that the EU Camaro has a fake rear diffusor between the tailpipes...

Cadillac Working On A Convertible?
Interesting that the positioning seems to emulate the M-B model (CLK) instead of the BMW model (3-series).

Very nice looking car, and that color is the perfect color not to attract any attention! Too bad you guys could'n keep those small (but better-looking) mirrors in the European version... Only thing I wouldn't change would be the logo. Or perhaps I'd try and the old blue bowtie.

Saab's Future Looks Bleak
SAAB needed an ultra-conservative financial structure. Looking a the consilidated accounts, they don't have one (quite the opposite, actually). I think SAAB actually had an opportunity during this year to work on that aspect, an opportunity that was clearly missed. This time around, I don't have much hope for SAAB. Perhaps BAIC will pick up SAAB's engineering skills for a handful of SEKs.

- 2012 Opel Astra GTC Officially Rendered
To be honest, I don't think this car would need anything other than changing the Opel badge to a Buick badge. Perhaps the grille could be replaced by a black chrome waterfall grille with the Buick logo, but that's it.- Word Association

- GM Won't Bump Up Release Of Next Generation Pickups
That is true, but losing sales and market share if another major shift from trucks to smaller vehicles occurs while GM's pants are down would be worse. GM is a leader in trucks and that won't change: Chevy/GMC people won't magically turn into Ford folks, so leaving the truck program run its course and invest more in covering as many bases as possible for shifts in market preferences is a better set of priorities, me thinks.- The Never Ending Story: More Rumors With The Cadillac Flagships
I refer to one of AH-HA's posts: "I am Alpha and Omega, the begginning and the end", IIRC. Byblical quotes rule, especially when they translate into two new RWD platforms EDIT - On another note, I think it's time GM/Cadillac stopped talking and developed the damn car. Just a thought...- FT-86 Part 7 - Scion Shows Off The FR-S
Perhaps, but using which platform? Kappa was based on the Corvette's Y-body (at least conceptually) making it extremely inflexible. GM would require a) to develop or redevelop such a platform, or b) adapt the smaller RWD architecture (Alpha) for such a vehicle. I think that dynamically both solutions would work equally well, so the choice comes down to cost: where does GM get the biggest margin from?- All Your Spots Under One Umbrella

Most of the time it has nothing to do with Stupid Europe but with cylinder wall thickness and resistance, i.e. longer term engine durability.
