Good stuff! For a moment there, though, I thought of the TV show Babylon5
  6. I'd say (at least) some 95% of Porsche 911 and other cars of that kind are older, affluent drivers, and that isn't an issue for those brands; why should it be an issue with the Corvette?
  7. Nice! Congrats! Love the bear picture too
  8. We have seen the nose already, me thinks.

Looks great; the wheel swap was a great idea!
  10. I saw my 1st Focus here in Lisbon Saturday night. The front end looks really neat, but the rear of the 5-door hatchback is IMHO. To me the Astra's backside is much better looking.
  11. that rumble = And I am still truly happy they named the car after me
  12. Get well soon!
  13. You will see Holden spelled back there as well, as the Malibu will be offered in Australia. And I say its about time GM consolidated the Epica and the Malibu into a single global offering. I hope the Malibu name is used in these Chvrolets outside the US market.
  14. Seeing how much the Opel Omega and the Commodore shared back then, I think that concept actually BECAME the Catera EDIT (to clarify) - If you look at that Buick concept's greenhouse, the Opel Omega's greenhouse, the Holden Commodore's greenhouse, and the Cadillac Catera's greenhouse you can see they're all one car, with different front and rear ends.
  15. I see interesting signs and portents regarding the return of the AUS RWD cars to the US

It's an Opel van. The Vivaro I think. I think it's a Vivaro.
  17. "GM likes outdates engines" is more like it as this car was developed under GM's arm. Unless there is a brilliant explanation lingering on how it would make economic sense to adapt the 9-4X to different powerplants after all the engineering work is done and the car is only in its 1st year of production, with future 9-4X to go (if SAAB makes it there) on the Phoenix Platform being engineered for the NG 9-3...
  18. I actually think Cadillac will need more than diesels and Art & Science styling to make it here: no decontenting like the BMW's 116d model where they charge 250EUR for front foglights. Better to crush their margins and offer full content models than to decontent their cars, IMHO. And wait some 30 years for the brand perception/awareness/image to be built.
  19. Pedro, didn't Bob Lutz and I do this dance with you once? Do you want to dance again? In a few months I might want to dance again; too early at this point.
  20. Yeah the CTS is large enough (mere emphasis) for us here. In some segments (IIRC) you might see up to 60% sales as diesels. And in company car sales, which are important, the weight of 4-cyl diesel cars in the 5-Series/E-Class/CTS size category are probably higher still. The ATS should definitely have 4-Cyl models, gas and diesel, but thses should be tuned to higher hp/torque than the Opel variants so they could be marketed as exclusive to Cadillac.
  21. São Caetano do Sul is starting to look more and more attractive
