Henderson resigns as GM CEO
Like I commented on C&G's status on Facebook, Fritz did his job, now it's time for Ed to carry the company through the rest of the transition into 'New GM'. I don't see a new CEO stepping in that soon, unless they want to run the risk of changing CEO again in a year. They need to choose well.

Dubai debt plea sends fear around world
Dubai has virtually no oil left. The emirate with the big oil reserves is Abu Dhabi.

What Cruze variants would you like to see?
Those two variants will surely be offered, although maybe not in NA. NA could/should possibly see a coupe or a coupe-like 3-door hatch.

Buick Excelle Hatch - The big picture!
That'd be my bet as well. Looking at the Buick sedan's front in the spy pics, it appears to have nothing more than different bumper and headlights (the Astra has a more curved shape while the Buick has larger looking units). Rear end is another deal, as an Astra sedan has not been shown yet.

I wouldn't call it BS, more a observation that control/reporting were deficient. That deficiency is not an Accounting/GAAP issue as that would appear in the Auditor's opinion, it's more of a management reporting issue: how accounting info is rearranged in internal reporting, in order for business decisions to be made.

Koenigsegg Group AB Terminates Agreement For Purchase of Saab
Until any of us know how that loss was calculated (i.e., most likely never) that number is merely interesting... Trust in Old GM's internal reporting/control mechanisms is very small (OK, probably zero), so we don't know what charges were pushed over to subsidiaries' books, if those charges were allocated properly, and how that affected the loss per car number... The same reasoning can be used re Oldmobile's and Pontiac's demise...

Koenigsegg Group AB Terminates Agreement For Purchase of Saab
Yeah, I see the theme. In Korea as well, but with a more tactful approach. Now with the GM DAT rights issue GM gets control of GM DAT operations. SAAB could be rolled into GME a number of different ways, from merger to perhaps it becoming to GM what Subaru is to Toyota: a client/supplier of technology and an equity investment, with little or no control over management. Re Pontiac, what you described is 'niche' pure and simple.

Koenigsegg Group AB Terminates Agreement For Purchase of Saab
Hmmm.... stall, stall, stall in Europe, collect Government and EIB incentive money to fund GME restructuring and.... bring back Pontiac as the RWD-only niche brand that was impossible to launch before the bankruptcy?

Life after 40
I didn't read the article above, but I read somewhere about noise and high RPM when the engine kicked in, as if it was trying to get back to the 80% battery charge level real quick. That aspect was being optimized.

2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe
Kinda blocky-looking, but in this case I like blocky-looking! Want to see the CTS-V coupe, ATS and a proper RWD top-of-the line model.

That's the foglight.- Motor Trend: Buick Regal Prototype First Drive
I like the Insignia better than your TSX (our Honda Accord), but it is a matter of personal taste. Materials-wise, about the same, but my opinion is based on looking at the Insignia from outside and I don't know if the Acura had a materials upgrade from the Honda Accord they sell here.- Motor Trend: Buick Regal Prototype First Drive
"Buickized" insignia explains the rear foglight. Very positive review. Hopefully this will be a winner.- Word Association
