  1. Absolutely. It's a glaring ommision.
  2. Agreed.
  3. I agree 100%. Period. This should have ben the G6, not what we got.

    Saturn

It's not just that Saturn will be rebadged Opels (which is a great thing). GM obviously doesn't think the pluses outweigh the minuses as far as the dent resistant body panels go. It's a good feature, and a good gimmick, but they weren't contributing to selling cars in the numbers GM would have liked. If Saturn was a great selling brand, they wouldn't be touched. It seems people would rather have much tighter gaps. As far as unsightly dings, there found in much more expensive luxury cars also, so I don't think that'll be a deterent to people buying Saturns. Rather, they'll buy them in droves now because the product is so good, tight body panels and all.
  5. Haven't seen any yet in the New Orleans area.
  6. They look good. But, I The Lucerne's more modern, stylized ports a little more.

    Price your Lucerne.

    Mine is $38,780.00
  8. Buick doesn't need Caddy to get lux credenitals. They need product. Putting two nameplates with so slimiar product would be overkill. Caddy should be standalone. Buick and GMC should be paired together, since I can't see Buick getting they're own stores across the board. Buick and GMC's product would compliment each other, because GMC doesn't have lux cars, and Buick won't have (atleast, I don't think so) larger, BOF SUVs and true trucks.
  9. I agree 100%. GMC is already viewed as the premium, upscale alternative to Chevy's trucks and SUVS. Buick wants to chase Lexus. Buick should be paired with GMC, and GMC should lose it's Lambda. It's one to many. Buick could have the crossover SUVs, and GMC would speicalize in BOF SUVs and true trucks. That, alone with Buick cars would make a great compliment. There's no reason the two brands should care products, even it's it's only one (the Lambda). GM would have been wise to do as I described, which is similar to what Ford was thinking by putting Jag with Landrover.
  10. That won't work. It'll hinder both Caddy and Buick, especially since Buick aspires to lux status.
  11. I could live with the name, but I not a big fan of it. I still think it's stupid to throw away a realitively new and nice name, like the Rendevous.
  12. I agree. They're designs do nothing for me.
  13. I thought Kappa was supposed to be a very flexible platform. It was designed that way. A Kappa sedan is not impossible.

    GMC Envoy?

Definitely the Acadia. Definitely's looking good. I like the interior a lot.
  15. LOL, I know, I know. I got caught up in the moment.
  16. Some of you guys aren't getting the point. It's not the column shifter. I NEVER MENTIONED THE COLUMN SHIFTER. I said the the bench seats had to go. Maynard, I don't see any bench seats in your example. MB and BMW only put those shifters on the column so they could better utilize the center console more. NO promblem. THat's fine. Note, that's only done in they're full size flagship. If the Lucerene was RWD, while offering V6and V8 power, it probably would be lineup head to head with the GS/M/E-Class, etc. None of those cars have bench seats! IF BUICK WANTS TO SURVIVE, AND EXPAND BEYOND IT'S AGING CUSTOMER BASE, NO MATTER HOW LOYAL, THEY NEED TO BETTER EMULATE WHO THEY ASPIRE TO CONQUER... Lexus! That's a hell of a task, but it can be done if done properly! Damnit, hire me, GM.
  17. I agree. That's precisely my point. Buick claims to aspire to conquest import buyers, yet it's old habits are dying very hard (bench seats, 3800).
  18. There's no way of telling the quality of the clotch seats. I was commenting on the configuration. I don't like that they're still employing the bench at all, but the dash and layout looks top notch, to me. Don't get me started on the pushrod... I think seeing the car in person will be more telling.
  19. Good Point. I see Infinity's Q45 headlamps.
  20. That's a little harsh. Remember, beauty's in the eye of the beholder, and looks are subjective.
  21. Wow, it really hit me when I saw the cloth seats with the column mounted shifter. They can't let it go... it's amazing me to though, because the gerital argument just doesn't hold water for me. The Avalon is an old person's dream, and I've never seen one without a floor mounted shifter. I guess Buick feels the need to give the elderly a choice, but Toyota doesn't seem to feel the need to. I hate the looks of the silver one, yet the charcoal gray looks really good to me. Go figure.
  22. THANK YOU. MY POINT EXACTLY.
  23. THANK YOU. THAT'S ALL I'M TRYING TO SAY.

    Next GMT-360s

I agree 100%. Why is that so hard? Leave the true SUVs to Chevy and GMC. Give a Lambda to Buick, Pontiac, and also Saturn. That's it.
  25. No... please, no. Let it go... the bench seats, the $19K cars... It's fine if that's where Buick wants to be. But if they want to move upward they have to abandon those lower priced markets.
